We also hope it can be sorted out quickly!

We also hope it can be sorted out quickly!

One of the big earners that we need rid of could be about to move on as John Utaka has 'claimed' that he has been in 'talks' with Sochaux about a move to them and would 'be on the next plane over' if they can give him playing time...

I think that most people would be willing to fly over with you to make sure you went John! So on worries there.

Speaking to sky sports he said: 'I am in talks, that is true. I am not playing at Portsmouth and there is a World Cup coming up in June - I don't want to miss that.

'If they (Sochaux) can give me playing time, I will be on the next plane over because I really need that.

'Hopefully everything will be sorted out quickly so I can focus on my football.'

The PROBLEM is this deal is only said to be a loan...

A loan is good, although with his wages 'said' to be at something like £80,000 per week can we honestly think that the French outfit will foot this bill each week?

Nope, thought not - if they paid 50% of that though that would be better than nothing wouldn't it as there would be a loan free involved too I guess...

So, as Utaka - the not so good attacker - claims to be in talks with over a return to France, Frenchman Freddy P has said, or at least his agent has to France Football, that he is happy with Pompey: 'all the reports you have heard recently are unfounded,' he told France Football.

'Frederic is happy at Portsmouth. For him to leave, Lyon, Portsmouth and the player would have to be in agreement.'

This is better news though, right?

You know Pompey. If we loan him, we will get stiffed again! Tell people to buy or bugger off. If he wants to play in the World Cup he needs to drop his wage demands. I am now fitting snow chains to the car, so if he is struggling to get to the airport I can take him FFS. God knows he's struggled to find the net enough times.

Blarney - thats a good idea, take him to the airport and make sure he doesn't fall asleep like Benjani did.

Don't agree guts and gals. You gotta give him time on the pitch. 6 games is the rule of thumb, look at Dindane and the Piq. He is not the most energetic player but is the most skilled.Has he had games in his proper position - no, has he had regular games - no. You wanna see someone bad, look at Mokoena, he should be stacking the shelves for me to shop in Tesco. Another point.... Why is Grant playing in effect 3 holding midfielders eg: Hughes, Brown, Diop, Tesco boy or Muggins? No creativity, no ambition going forward. Basinas must be seeeeeething. 4-4-2 Avram with some ambition!!!!!!

oh no, i was looking forward to the next 6 month installment of "i can be like a new player.. youve not seen the real john utaka play..." etc etc. sorry john, but if you want time on the pitch, maybe you should try and run a bit faster and put some feckin effort in. youre obviously not better than anyone in the team so do us all a favour and do one .. go back to france. fed up of all of you frenchies. you cant handle the prem and id rather have tommy smith playing than you. hes british and has determination and strength. agree ... we should sell only , no loan deals!

I've said time and time again I'd like to see Utaka given more of a chance, till I'm not prepared to say it anymore. He's run out of chances. I know what he can do, I saw that fantastic run against Bolton - but that's the only time I've seen it. Sometimes there's a reason managers don't pick a player, they see him in training every day. And its been 4 managers now who haven't picked him. And we don't have room for more chances. The club is dying for lack of money and this lazy get is on 80K a week! Blimey I hope the weather doesn't his plane from taking off.
