The unexpected wins through

The unexpected wins through

'Pompey would beat Coventry on the day', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I had agreed with...

I was ALWAYS expecting a tough game, and this is what we got. Not that it was a very good one in all honesty, although I did, depending on the sides send out think we would win.

A draw was the least fancied option but we now know this is what we will get so The Ricoh Arena here we come...

One thing we now know is we WILL NOT beat Manyoo at Old Trafford this season as they are out!

  • What the poll asked - Pompey v Coventry

  • How you voted - Pompey win 66%, Coventry win 24%, Draw - replay at Cov 10%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

We created enough chance to win it, so i am not over concerned. It is the FA Cup, and weaker teams always get a go at it. Ask United.

I voted for a win, but then I'm still thinking of Pompey as a Prem club - which isn't realistic really any more. Spose the extra fixture will bring in an extra couple of quid - drop in the ocean though.

We had the chances to win & will have to be a bit more ruthless in the replay. To be honest we couyld have done without the extra game, which usually means a few more bookings.

Nice steady opening against average enough teams
