'If It's Football, It's Vital'

That makes it true then...

Phew, am I happy Peter Storrie has said that Asmir Begovic is 'going nowhere,' this means I can rest easy safe in the knowledge this 'must be true'...

In case it was not picked up on, I am being sarcastic!

Spurs were 'said' to be looking at him but Storrie says 'we have heard nothing from Spurs.'

The cynical might think that we say this to 'invite' offers for the 22-year-old, then again they might also think that we are 'bigging' up the keeper as to invite offers for another of our keepers David James?

As I have said before, as have others, until quite recently I know who I would have kept but if we HAD to offload a keeper - from these two - I know who I would offload more freely now, and our current no.1 would not be this one!

I WILL believe that Begovic is going nowhere, and it is 'absolute rubbish' if he is still here on February 1st 2010, which I sincerely hope the guy is as I think he has a fantastic future ahead of him.

From his track record what PS says and what the owners do are not one and the same thing. I hope on this occasion he's proved right. Beg is an important part of 'future' Pompey.

I think we'll be seeing alot more of Niemi or Ashdown this season!

I'm almost resigned to losing players, as a means to try to keep the club solvent - but not Begovic. He's the one who would allow James to move on, and is very important for our future.
tracyc
he's not on a high wage, won't command a high transfer fee and so theres no way in hell he should be sold BUT we need money and we need it now so expect him to be gone by next week and tbh i wouldn't blame the guy for going anyway GL to him..

Right now I wouldn't believe one word coming from anyone remotely official at Fratton Park...dark times

Yes, in our situation any player has his price. For Beg this could be as low as £1M to help pay the wages this month. Expect a busy month of outgoings from FP.
bluedr
if he goes were left with ashdown who we know wants to leave (or sit on his wages here) and we dont like to play him. either way were screwed.

right, he's off then... thanks asmir

I don't want to see any players leave but the truth is that we will be seeing every worthwhile player leaving the club for peanuts during January, Other clubs will be trying to snaffle a bargain and won't worry about helping us out by paying a fair price. Those of us who have wanted to see youth get it's chance may well get their wish although it may be on a much larger scale than is healthy. I'm guessing that by the time of the winding up hearing it'll be Pompey but not as we know it.

Storrie is as much a crook as the rest of them

Do you know what I am absolutely fed up with PS's patronising and insulting behaviour. He is obviously not all there is he. He continues to lie his head off, and then expects us to swallow bloody stupid comments like this. Kipling said "when all around you are losing their heads and you aren't, then you don't understand the situation" Someone needs to tell Storrie that we are not stupid, that he has zero credibility not only as a Chief Exec. but also as a human being. I know he doesn't know the meaning of the word honour, but we all do. Why doesn't he do something intellegent for a change and do the honourable thing and resign. Do you know what I think even if he read all our comments he still wouldn't understand them.

they are all crooks and liers, surely...
plymouth graham
crooks maybe not but liars, the drift of time will decide...

Apart from the few pompey fans who come over to vital spurs and have a pop and blame harry ( coz we all know hes not incharge of the money ) i really do feel for you guys i couldnt handle whats happening to you guys and your club if it were to happen to spurs what i dont understand is why has the club been passed from 1 owner to the next who were supposed to stabilise the club and it not happen were is this due dillegence from these supposed F.A checks??? how could they let in the current owner if he cant even pay the bloody wages?? its a sad day that a Premiership club is facing the wall and makes me think alot more of some of the smaller championship clubs with these struggles anyway i hope your situation changes for the better v.soon happy new year peeps ( and no thats not a smart arse remark!! )
only 1 spurs
