'Kevin-Prince Boateng was the man of the match against Arsenal', not my vote, yours - although these findings from the Pompey player's poll are thoughts that I do agree with...
There were not really too many pluses from that game were there?
The defence was static most of the time and almost allowed the Arsenal forwards all the time in the world for most of the goals - the midfield, which contained TWO holding players did not really do that job as well as it should have, although to be fair Freddy P did not have much to feed off up top did he, so can you blame the forward?
Although should we be looking to blame anyone? You win and lose as a team, right?
Boateng did have a very good game, he looked up for it and turned on the quality, looking easily the most talented outfield player that we had, then he went off injured...
The problem that I do have with The Prince is that he sometimes tries TOO MUCH - at times a simple pass could make all the difference but that one final turn can sometimes see him turn into trouble, then we lose the ball.
I think that a word must go to Nadir Belhadj who also had a decent game, in what 'might' prove to be his last for Pompey? I also think that Anthony Vanden Borre had a very good 30-odd minute cameo - more of that please!
