Lens taking legal action to get paid
Word has grown around cyber and media worlds over the past 24-hours or so that Lens are taking legal action against Pompey for unpaid fees.
The French club have become so increasingly frustrated at the fact that we are 'said' to have failed to keep up with payments - although to be honest it sounds about right! - for Nadir Belhadj and pulled out of a deal to buy Aruna Dindane outright after he played 'X amount' of games that they are looking for the courts to settle this...
Lens president Gervais Martel is quoted in The Mail as saying: 'we are taking action through the European football tribunals as well as civil courts.'
Is this really a surprise? And is it really that hard to believe?
We KNOW that PFC has not paid clubs etc., so why should this be limited to English clubs alone...
'If/when' we get sorted out who in their right mind is going to do transfer dealings with Pompey again?
A 'disturbing' thing also included in that Mail report 'claims' that John Utaka is on £80,000 per week!
As much as I would HOPE that is not true, again, in all honesty knowing we have dished out some shockingly high wages over the past few years would that really be a surprise...
