Boateng bonus!

Quite when this was announced, and how it has managed to sneak under the radar I do not know, but according to The Quay Kevin-Prince Boateng WILL NOT be going to the African Nations next month!

Boateng left out of Ghana squad - here

It says that he has 'been left out of the Ghana squad for the African Cup of Nations next month.

'He was expected to be part of the 23 man setup travelling to Angola for the tournament after recently pledging his International future to the Black Stars. However, he will now be available for all of Pompey's January games.'

I checked out Ghanaweb.com - here, and he has indeed been left out by all accounts, with this announcement made on Thursday.

Quite why this is I do not know?

Clearance needed to come through for him to switch from Germany - Ghana, so perhaps this has not/will not happen in time, hence him being left out? Then again perhaps he is just judged not good enough at the moment?

Either, the bonus of having arguably our most creative influence available to us when others will not be is fantastic news, right?

the thing that makes me scheptical is that sulley hasnt got in the team either.....appiah,maybe thats right as he hasnt a club but sulley? who plays for inter milan, just behind essien, their next most famous asset....if true, a very strange decision by the management and an awfully big risk.....unless hes long term injured i suppose

An early Christmas bonus, let's hope he takes his frustrations out on the opposition.

Brilliant news for us but from watching todays game, and the one against Burnley does anybody else think that the Prince is carrying an injury? First half he seemed laboured and unwilling to track back which is unlike him. However cracking result and cracking game. Benitez to join the dole queue with Mark Hughes!!!

Now all we need is a few more left out of their respective sides. Why asks Rug? I don't care answers Dave!!
