'If It's Football, It's Vital'

There's no bias intended...

What does the wonderful world of Mark Lawrenson, the so-called BBC's 'expert pundit', have to offer us this week? Lets see...

Looking at his column on BBC Sport, Lawro's predictions - here, I see that the 'football expert', having seen a run of 3 right predictions - if not results - come to an end against Sunderland, he went for them to win, when we drew, fancies us to lose against Liverpool tomorrow.

Although 'there's no bias intended' in anything he says...

This is what he said: 'Portsmouth got a good draw with a late equaliser last Saturday and by all accounts produced a decent performance as well at Chelsea.

'There's no doubt that Portsmouth's performances have not been reflected in the number of points they've won - they are a little better than their points tally would suggest.

'Predicting the result with Liverpool at the moment is almost impossible, not least because you can't second guess manager Rafa Benitez in terms of the team he is going to play.

'Having said that, I think that after the win against Wigan in midweek I'm going to go for a Liverpool victory. There's no bias intended in that, I just wonder if they might now string a bit of a run together.

'Verdict: 0-2.'

Bulls**t there is no bias Lawro! Although then again I guess you could argue that I show Pompey bias - some would even say a 'blinkered bias' - in thinking Pompey will win :-)

If nothing else now I want us to win just to shut the muppet up, although clearly on MOTD, if we do win, it will be the bin dippers throwing it away and not us winning...

What do we think guys - assuming this game even goes ahead?

Lawro is a bellend
SUAC51
NZ_Portsmuff is over from new zealand for the game tomorrow, and the arsenal game, so he is wanting to meet people in the rutland if possible...

i now have to get the 6.41 train from exeter so - all being well - will be able to make it for a pint, or 3
anyone else going to be there?
pompeyrug
Not in the Rut tomorrow but hope to be for the Arsenal game. Always willing to meet up with VP members.

As to Lawro's prediction it certainly helps our chances!

Whenever we win it's always the other team playing badly. I still can't beleive we won the FA cup yet despite beating Man U away on route we supposedly had an easy run of games! We will never be given credit for anything at Pompey coz we're not a fasionable club. Also if one of the 'Big Four' were in the trouble we are in now, all you would here is sympathy for them, but with us people can't wait to stick the knife in further and twist it. I just wish that our league position was better so we could stick two fingers up at all the haters. Lets start with tomorrow! PUP!!!

Not sure why we are surprised or even bothered by it. Even when we very good, the pundits wanted to find fault. The best thing we can do is give the scousers a good going over. torres is fragile, so hit him hard early. Gerrard needs a man marker who can wind him up. Then all we need to do is take our chances! Easy really.

I clicked onto the story to leave the message 'LAwro is a bellend' only to see that this was the first thing that anyone thinks to say. Great minds think alike!

2-0 that stuffed him then!

What's Lawro know anyway. 2-0 is just what the doctor ordered, and against the Bin-dippers too eh! No doubt the pundits will find something negative to say.....but who cares. Well done you Blues. PUP.

UP the Arse, that's all i can say.. .... Well Lawro, time to join the fearing Hansen camp, and what will happen if they don't make the champions league !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well start thinking, 2-0 and it wasn't that hard, cos liverpoooool didn't look like they fancied it. Dey doo dat doe don't day!

There you go Lawro. 2-0 you were right with the score just gave it to the wrong team. Happy Christmas.
