Avram Grant makes his return to Stamford Bridge tonight, the first time he had done so since he left them in 2008, and he does this with belief that Pompey can upset all the odds!
He has told sky sports news that if he did not think we could get something, and we went with the acceptance that we are beaten before we play then it would not be worth doing so: 'if you don't believe that in sport anything that can, then it's maybe better that I was in another job.'
Grant knows all too well just how good Chelski are, especially on their own patch, as the dropped points against Everton at the weekend were their first of the season but they are on a 4 game run of not winning: 'of course Chelsea are the best team in England and they play good football, especially at Stamford Bridge.
'Chelsea are a strong team even though they haven't won for four games. They are a very good team with very good players.
'They've only dropped two points at home all season and that was against Everton last Saturday. Football is football and always we need to believe that we can do better.'
He cannot, and would not say anything other would he?
During his time as Chelski manager he feels that the fans respected what he achieved and feels that he will get a decent reception as a result of this: 'I'm very happy with how the supporters behaved towards me in the last few months of the season, including the last game against Bolton.
'It was very nice and they were very supportive. I think they respect what I did for the club.'
Well, the time for talking is almost done - we will soon see exactly what we will do. But can we do the seemingly 'impossible' and come away with something, well time will tell!
Either way join us on Vital Pompey tonight for a 'match day live' feature.
