Grants reflects on Pompey's Sunderland point

Avram Grant felt that on the reflection of our 2nd half performance against Sunderland that we deserved to get the last minute equaliser to earn us a 1-1 draw - this made us only the 3rd side this season to com away from The Stadium of Light with anything this season.

In scoring his equaliser Younes Kaboul removed his shirt, which as he and we know, equals a yellow card - sadly Younes had already been booked so he got sent off.

Grant was not really unhappy with the defender as he knows it is a game of 'emotion' and that is what he was full of when he equalised. This is a ruling that Grant thinks needs changing. I saw a funny quote, on ITV Sport I think it was, where Grant said the 'whole bench had their shirts off' and the kit man was not a pleasant sight!

I agree with Grant that it is a stupid rule, but the players know it is in place - we saw this last weekend after a goal so he should have known, right?

See Grants views on the above and more, including more in-depth thoughts on both sides performance, further thoughts on what we need in January and the upcoming game against Chelski, in this sky sports video below...

We were pretty poor yesterday, the 2nd half seemed a lot better and we earned our luck, right?

Under Paul Hart we were playing good football but not getting anything, we might not be playing that well under Grant but we have ground out results in the last couple of games - and I guess, to be fair, the tactical changes Grant makes are working...
