Transfer Rumours

If all you read is true, Emile Heskey is to leave Birmingham for Pompey as soon as the season closes, Jolene Lescott will choose Pompey over Everton for 4 million and Routledge is making his move permanent
almost straight away.

The thing is do we need another goal-shy striker at the club? especially one who has never been prolific, even at Liverpool and the bloke spends more time on the deck than on his feet, so much so its rumoured he suffers from cauliflower arse, much like a rugby players ears.

There maybe a hint of truth in the Lescott rumours as he is the right
age(24) and we are short at the back.

Routledge would be a real possibility, and would be welcomed by most Pompey fans after several great cameos.

The one player I think all Pompey fans would like to see sewn up is D'Alessandro, who fans have really taken to their hearts, and who has really taken to the south coast, this signing in the region of 5 million would really show a sign of intent next season.

Keep posted for any other news!

Paul

would be a good signing for you sure you would get him cheap aswell.
jono_forest
Lescott would be a good signing - and he is the right age. D'Alessandro is a must, but I am not too sure on Routledge. Please, please don't go for Heskey - what about Nugent, Hulse, Kanu, Trundle? The other option should be Benni McCarthy Wonder what is in the 'War Chest'?
gavinh
i think d'allessandro signing would prove a lot, in years gone by he would be the one we miss out on, but if he signs it would prove the spending power is reall there
paultsmouth
Heskey with Redknapp though???? you never know, . Harry pulled off the miracle of the century, and the century is only 6 years old... give him Heskey and if anyone can... Harry Can. Would still like to see Beni McCarthy personally, and Wayne Routledge. Such control and ability he will compiment Andres.
Terence
i have some info saying beni looks like hes on the way!
lmatthews
Is that your sauce les? or just another of those old rumours? I could well see Heskey coming here, not because he's any good but there must be plenty of brown envelope mileage in that transfer.

I suppose by the time we have really opened the can, many more baked beans will be *****ed on our plate. This one, that one...and no matter what source they have on them most will not bare fruit. Bean there Done that haven't we. We all seem to have more links than England's golf courses. Still it would be nice if some of what you hear is true....like that girl that was supposed to have fancied me.....
pompeygray
What's wrong with emp tied ?
pompeygray
Maybe if you are full of beans, you need your emp tied down, to save you geeting into trouble with THAT girl.

In the News today, Harry denies Benji is going anywhere, so if thats the beni you are talking about i think its wrong info. If its Beni McCarthy, then i dont disbelieve it. Its common knowledge around the ground that Bejani was tasked with bringing Beni back from Africa with him. Only reason he couldnt persuade him was Beni felt it was a rushed decision, and needed time to sleep on it. Therefore he has to be considered as a possible.. as he's had lots of sleep since
Terence
Excuse my ignorance, but why would Benji be tasked with bringing Beni from Africa? Wasn't Benji playing in Europe? I'm confused !! I thought it was HR that was after benni.
FEn_100
i think he means from the africa nations cup
paultsmouth
latest rumour i've heard is that the bloke who has been treating lua says hes off to man city
paultsmouth
Good news if true paul. Get rid of lua and have D'ale instead. Also see your thinking behind the african nations thing.
FEn_100
beni as in beni mcarthy
lmatthews
Yeah, I'm aware of who he is les. He was in fact named before we became involved with benji, and he was reported to have turned us down to stay at Porto. I just didn't know why Benji had anything to do with bringing him here. :)
FEn_100
Beans, Benni's and Benji's enough to drive you round the bendi's. This McCarthy thing has bean going on too long. I think he snubbed us initially so F**K him. Pompey do not, or should not, encourage fence sitters. We should however encourage players who are proud to adorn the Pompey shirt and play with guts and dedication. If they can't do that (irrespective of the pay packet) then they should simply get lost....well and truly !!
pompeygray
ABSOLUTELY 100% Gray. If you want to play for the shirt, we'll back you all the way. clap clap clap clap clap.
FEn_100
Pride and Loyalty are simple but strong values that are being lost within todays game....
pompeygray
i wasn't telling you fen, terence asked
