What result - Pompey v Manyoo?

Which way will you vote in the latest Vital Pompey poll, suggested by myself, as we try to gage what people think the outcome of the game again Manyoo this weekend will be?

  • What the poll is asking

    Pompey v Manyoo

  • Which way to vote?

Can we do the almost 'unthinkable', not that it should be that way in some ways seen as we are at home and Manyoo hate coming to Fratton, and beat them?

A draw would be a fine result, right? But are we capable of even achieving this?

In recent years Manyoo have found it 'easier' to come to Fratton and get the result they would 'expect', so is it too much to think we will get anything else other than beat on Saturday?

Earlier in the week we said that we should attack all the way with a 'we will score more than you' approach, which I like as most would expect us to lose anyway, right? For me, we need to play with NO FEAR - we have to of course show Manyoo, one of the best teams in the word, some respect but if we show them too much they will rip us apart!

So, lets just hope that the atmosphere can be as intimidating as it has been known to in the past and we can help drive the team on to secure something that we desperately need!

Make sure you vote on this latest poll to your right, but share you views below too...

Well...it's at Fratton it's football so anything can happen I suppose. But there would have to be a lot of sods law against Man U for them to get turned over. I'm hoping for a penalty or maybe an own goal, in our favour of course. Maybe Alex will field a weakened team to help us out. Play up Pompey anyway, we ain't finished yet.

SAF's confined to the stand for this game, not that it'll make any difference, he can still go in the dressing room. Let's make some noise on Saturday and if we can put on them back foot from the off we may just nick the points.

Well I've heard people talking about Banana skins. Maybe we will be a Banana skin? You never know - and we will have "new Manager's" luck with us as well.

I'd love to think we have a chance of three points... or maybe just the one... Thing is I'm not convinced the sacking of Hart will have a positive effect on the players .. Despite the results they did 'play for him' ... With Hart in charge we could be certain that the players would've given it their all .. Whether that be the case for Grant on Saturday remains to be seen... but I hope so .. Thing is he just doesn't seem the inspiring to me !

Jamo has a lot of respect for him, so maybe the rest of the team will follow. Admittedly they all got on with PH so who knows. Maybe they'll be playing for their places..

I suppose now there's been the managerial change I'm a little more optimistic than I was, but I'm still quite punch drunk by everything that's gone on lately. It'll be interesting to see how our players react, but at the end of the day, its Manyoo, they will probably beat us.

I think the players will be playing for a place in future teams and Grant will be at his freshest in terms of enthusiasm - so I'm picking a "Steve Stone" type goal will win it - like when we first got promoted! It's worthwhile thinking positively while the manager has a clean slate of 0 losses as Pompey manager on his resume!

Avram lost his first game for chelsea against man u... and I can see a repeat of that. He won't get the "honeymoon period" other managers enjoy, as hart was so popular with the players (but he'll be used to that, having taken over from mourinho, who was equally popular). Lets hope that he has the tactical nous to organise the team in the best way, and the players spirits can do the rest...
