Grant the one we 'expect' to take over

'The next mug, sorry manager, at Pompey will be Avram Grant', not my vote, yours - although these findings from paultsmouth's poll are thoughts that I agree with to be honest...

In all honesty, much like Paul Hart was not my first choice I do not think that Grant would be my first choice now, but given some of the muppets, sorry names, 'linked' with the job and the level I realism we have to go by I think I would be pretty happy with Grant stepping up, or would it be down, from his DoF position.

We could certainly do a lot worse than him really could we not?

All we can now do is sit and wait and see what happens - it is 'expected' that Grant will be named anytime now, but I would not be surprised if it will not be before Manyoo either way.

  • What the poll asked - Next mug, I mean manager!

  • How you voted - Grant 47%, Curbishley 15%, Bilic 14%, Ferguson jnr 7%, other 6%, Coppell 5%, Droopy dog 4%, Sheringham 1%, Keegan 1%, Jewell 0%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

I'm sure if Avram Grant does take the managers job he'll do his best to haul us out of our present position and predicament. He'll certainly have a challenge on his hands that's for sure. Hulls win over Everton last night is a timely reminder that the gap to safety can expand dramatically overnight. The task to stay in the EPL is not impossible, but we do need to strenghthen in January. And hopefully bring in a player/players that can turn chances into goals. Because despite playing well, it's been plainly obvious that we've been impotent in that area. Together with some more tactical nous, we could just pull it off.

Not happy, but it seems inevitable. Can I also say that there are reports circulating in the Press that PS is next to go. Lets hope so, his management of PFC has been worst than abysmal. I know it's in the "papers", but one thing I hope is true is that SAF has been complaining that he has been sidelined from the decision over Hart. He says "we should have taken longer" has this guy got a time phobia, by the time he gets round to anything the world has moved a millenium. Get rid of him as well , Fridge.
