Bargain home shirts - bonus offer!

Bargain home shirts - bonus offer!

You might have noticed something on The Pompey Site about 'bargain home shirts' yesterday?

If not this is what was said: 'Pompey home shirts are now on sale at bargain prices.

'The short-sleeved home shirt is just £24.99, with the long-sleeved version at £29.99.

'The shirts are on sale at the Pompey megastore and the club shops in Fareham and Cascades, Portsmouth.'

Well, you might also remember that season ticket holders get 5% off, which had been increased to 10% in the Pompey Shop this season, right?

On top of that season ticket holders had seen an offer for 20% off replica kit put our way until November 30th.

I asked if this 'bargain shirt offer' meant that we no longer got our discount, indeed our extra discount on top but I can say that we - season ticket holders - not only STILL get our 20% off the £24.99/£29.99 price but this offers has been EXTENDED until December 19th.

So, to clarify season ticket holders can STILL take advantage of our 20% off offer - on these home shirts, which has been extended until December 19th.

They're actually cheaper than that on the online store! £19.99...but I still won't bother, not even at a fiver. The material is sh'it and the sponsor is cr'ap. What happened to that great fabric Canterbury piloted and triumphed on their first, our FA Cup winning, shirt? That was class, since then they've reverted to cheap non-breathable low grade polyester. Rubbish.

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
