Attack, attack, attack!!!

Attack, attack, attack!!!

'Attack is the best form of defence against Manyoo', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I probably agree with to be honest...

We could sit back and look to adsorb the Manyoo pressure but the likelihood is that they would break through eventually anyway, right?

Our 'normal game' - although what is our normal game now Paul Hart is gone - would have been containing Manyoo, but would it have been enough to see us get anything?

So what they hell lets throw caution to the wind and have a go!

  • What the poll asked - What should we do against Manyoo?

  • How you voted - Attack! Its the best form of defence... 53%, Pray! 40%, Park the bus! 4%, Play our normal game 3%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

Even though I voted for 'pray' I do agree with this. We might as well lose/go down by trying to win. We're at home, sell out crowd and we're bottom anyway, so we have nothing to lose. The worst thing that can happen is it gives Begovic lots of practice!

I agree with you Tracy. The last thing you want to do against MU is to sit back and absorb the pressure - a short route to defeat. Go down fighting.

in order to attack, we need to get the ball - and i can't see that happening very often! But when we do get it, theres nothing saying we shouldn't try to push them as hard as possible, so long as that doesn't leave us open to embarising ourselves a la wigan.

Yeah...far better to take the 'longer' route to defeat. Give Em Ell as they say down here in pasty land. I'm sure old Alex won't field a strong team anyway, he knows what we've been going through. The guys good like that.....

    Pompey aim remains the same

Doncaster, Carlisle & Plymouth are the teams to catch. Pompey are further adrift than we would want but the aim to finish top 3 remains the same. That's targeted in the coming weeks.
