Yep, he sounds exactly like what we need!

Yep, he sounds exactly like what we need!

Hatem Ben Arfa has been 'linked' with Pompey recently - and according to sky sport this move away from Marseille is moving ever closer after 'showdown talks' with the French club.

Ben Arfa close to I'OM exit - here.

Ok, casting aside the 'minor details' that the Marseille paid a whopping £11.5m for him around 15-months ago and we cannot sign players anyway WHY would we want to sign a player like him anyway?

Granted, he is a French international but he clearly comes with a lot of baggage...

Talk of 'missed training sessions', 'training ground scuffles', along with the thoughts that he left Lyon after he 'fell out' with Karim Benzema so he felt he could 'no longer play alongside' him as well as 'refusing to come on as a substitute' under former manager Eric Gerets last season sounds exactly like the kind of things we could do without!

Again, putting aside the fact that we clearly could not afford to buy the guy, would we even want to loan him - if we could?

From the sounds of it, I would steer well clear of the 22-year-old as 'harmony' does not 'appear' to be one of his better qualities...

I think this is definitely a non-starter. Shame though.

He certainly sounds a handful and the last thing we want now is someone coming in with attitude and rocking the boat.

He's a talent, no doubt about that. If we listened to all of the reports we would have never have signed KPB, so give him a chance. Think he'll go elsewhere though.

Sounds like a good candidate for ManC to me. But Whizz is right. KPB has come good for us. Circumstances, I suppose.

Bring him in I say... KBP & Brownie were meant to be no no's but look at the part they are playing for us. If Brownies the captain, get him to take Up and Atem Ben aside and give him a little talking to. Sorted.

Yeah I'd be all for it .. and don't forget he's keen to impress ahead of the World Cup.. I'm with Russellm .. I can see a loan arrangement just to get him playing internationally to increase his value and for I'om to move him on

What do we hope for from the rest of the season?

There seems to be a lot of unhappiness around, despite a pretty decent season in my opinion. Well, certainly our best season in a long while.

Debut delight...kind of!

It wasn't a result, and in many ways a performance, for Sheff United loanee Freeman to remember too fondly as he didn't really have a great game against Orient? Then again who did!

Tubbs has left the building

Tubbs has finally left Pompey; perhaps his destination is something of a surprise then again there had been some 'rumours' recently of an Eastleigh interest.
