Crown court date set

Crown court date set

Peter Storrie appeared at the magistrates court today as the tax evasion case against him began. We all know what these alleged evasion charges relate to by now, if not then you have been on another planet somewhere!

He has been bailed and will appear before the crown court in the New Year - the trial begins on 20th January.

With this first court date out of the way and the date for the crown court set, as I have said previously - and again whilst I do not want to appear heartless - hopefully he can now focus fully on his day job with us between now and then...

Rug the sad thing for me is I don't care which way the verdict goes. I no longer know who I can trust at the club.

tbh blue i am basically the same - years of apparent lies and deception from those that are meant to be 'looking out for the club' leave me this way and see me VERY cynical about so much...
what i do want from storrie between now and the court appearance is for him to give everything to ensure we get out of this mess, that said will i believe him if he says this is happening? hmmm...

The problem is because of the lack of credibilty from all the "pawn brokers" (thanks Corny) even if they said something true, you would be hard pressed to believe it. Lying is endemic at the Club now, so as you say PFCblue you can't trust anyone there. Rug I am sorry I am so cynical, but what they have done to my beloved Club leaves me very bitter. I will always support the on-field team, but the rest of them need to be gotten rid of as they are a barrel of very bad apples. As for what happens to Storrie .... I can't write on here how I feel about him.

lol! i think i could probably guess what you mean - do not be sorry for being cynical Mike, as i say i find myself being very cynical about this too...not something i like either, but, and as you say, we have been driven to this!

I take it that none of you guys will be going as a character witness for the defence then? Any takers.......

corny - any of us could. We have probably have all paid a builder cash for a quick job which is the same offence.

Same offense Dave; Different league though! I'd have to do 10yrs of purely 'Cash in hand' to get even close to what he's done in 10 minutes...

Dave - What Storrie and the rest of them have done, and what the authorities have been able to pin on just one of them, is probably the tip of the iceberg. They most certainly did not launch a two year offensive just to take Storrie to court for one small tax evasion jobbie.

Gand6r, are you comparing Storrie to Al Capone? Didn't they take him down on tax evasion?

Ive been away for a few days, does it look like Storrie might be in trouble here or is it just another blow up by the media?
