It'll be lonely this Christmas...
'Pompey will be in the bottom 3 at Christmas', not my vote, yours - although these findings from PFCblue's poll are thoughts that I think I would have to agree with to be honest...
Lets be honest here, on current form - even if we have probably played better than our points total suggest - it is 'reasonable' to think that we will still be in the bottom 3 come Christmas, and that is not negative, in all likelihood this is probably realistic.
I would hate us to get relegated, not because I would fear dropping out of the so-call 'best league in the world,' we have been there before - if anything I enjoyed it more, not that I am wishing that on us again as I REALLY fear for the consequences of relegation.
From a financial point of view, given the state we are already in, God only knows what it would do to us...
So long as we can remain in touching distance of others come the New Year, if still in the bottom 3, all is not lost - anyway being in the bottom 3 at Christmas does not matter, so long as you are not in the bottom 3 come the evening of Sunday May 9th 2010 :-)

I look forward for others around us to lose points. It doesn't make a difference where we are as long as we keep chasing that great 17th place. I am sure we are up to a fight and the most important thing is that the manager and the plyers knows that and are there for the fighting.

Yep.....spot on Rug and realistic. This ain't gonna be easy. The critical thing is not getting cast adrift with an impossible points tally to chase. That does of course require a little help from our friends who inhabit the deep bowels of the EPL with us.
