Lawro fancies us for a draw

Lawro fancies us for a draw

What is going on in the world of Mark Lawrenson, the so-called BBC's 'expert pundit?' Lets take a look eh...

Looking at his column on BBC Sport, Lawro's predictions - here, I see that he had us down for a draw at Blackburn today.

So, this is what he said: 'Pompey are starting to get the results their performances have deserved over the last few weeks.

'They've started to score goals, which has been a real problem, and that brings confidence.
Blackburn will have to cope with the physical and aerial threat of their visitors but they'll be OK and I'm going for a draw and a continued improvement from Portsmouth.

'Verdict: 1-1.'

It seem like Lawro is actually starting to pay a 'little more' attention to us and actually how we are playing!

Although that said I would bet that he is basing more of this on the fact that we have won our last couple of league and cup games, so results, and the wins and goals, is all he sees...

What do we think guys? Have your say and ensure that you get in your prediction in the predictions league - Blackburn (a) - 07/11/09.

I'd take a draw as it stands now ... Although I think we'd all like to continue our winning streak the important thing is not to lose and allow Blackburn breathing space between us.. And let's not forget that as much as our motivation is get off the bottom I'm sure Big Sam has let his troops know that they could end the weekend on the bottom if things don't go their way... I'll take 0-0 right now ..

You're spot on there Chix. More of a mustn't lose than must win. It ain't gonna be a walk in the park, that's for sure. I think there's going to be goals though, can't see 0-0 happening. Although it's sitting on the fence and too close to call, I'm going for a 2-1 either way.

agree, in all honesty i would take a point from this and from stoke next time but hope we go there looking to get something, no just go there looking for a point and nothing more...

an erase? I think Blackburn will expect a win, but I reckon we'll nick it 1-0.

The Guardian thinks we'll win 3-0. Either it's another typo or they genuinely believe in Pompey.

Liverpool goalie keen on Pompey return

Will he get this chance though? I think we could quite safely say he'll not be in the Liverpool 1st team next season and Pompey want a goalie so could this be Ryan Fulton...

Please be Real Madrid...please be Real Madrid!

Ok, despite the fact Real Madrid must 'owe us one' for Diarra, I'm a realist with who Pompey will face...I'll settle for a pre-season friendly at Fratton being against Barcelona!
