Happy birthday mum!

Happy birthday mum!

I know this site is for Pompey news, or general football news, but occasionally we do branch off in different directions - besides seen as I run it can I can pretty much do what I want lol!

So, with that in mind, and the fact that she used to be a visitor to Fratton herself back in the day, I would like to send a special birthday wish to my mum, who turns 60 today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM xXx

I know none of you know her, but you do know of her and she does occasionally visit the site and has been known to get involved.

Those that know me best of all will know that my friends and family mean the world to me, and they are the only things that mean more to me than Pompey - my Mum is probably one of the people that I am most close to (I admit I am a mummy's boy) so I just wanted to give her this special mention, feel free to pass on a birthday wish for her as well!

It 'should' be a good weekend as we have my 30th from Tuesday to celebrate and mums 60th, add a Pompey win to that tomorrow - hopefully - and methinks there could be some VERY sore heads on Sunday morning...

Happy Birthday mother of Rug. Hope you're spoiling your mum, mate. There is an Italian saying: 'You only have one mum & one football team, love them both.'

Aw shucks!! Thank you Rug and everybody for your kind wishes. This is our 'special' week every year Rug, I was 3 days short of your age when you first drew breath and time has gone so amazingly fast. It is true that time does go fast when you are having fun! Yes I am a 'vital' member although I don't get involved as much as I would like to but as I am retiring from my 'day' job next month hopefully I will have more time to do so. As Rug mentioned, I was an occasional visitor to Fratton Park back in my youth but was found to be a jinx so was actively discouraged from attending! This was back in the mists of time but I can remember that I had connections with a local rock band (through relations) who appeared at a fund raising gig on south Parade Pier for Pompey back in the early 70's. Anyway, thanks again for your good wishes folks and I guess Rug's and my birthday wish would be for the good times to return to Pompey.
