'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Job Won

Mike riley blew his whistle at ten to five, and that was it, Pompey had pulled off the great escape, Steve McQueen would have been proud at this one, 20 points out of 27, hauling back an eight point deficit and arriving at the promised land with a game to spare, even script-writers would find that one a bit of a far-fetched story.

Wigan to their credit put up a decent fight of it, and to be fair with better finishing and a more benevolent linesman we could have been buried by half-time. As it was the script was written for the man from Zimbabwe to really score today, and Taylor left to bury his second penalty on the bounce.
Many a newly greyed man can sit back and relax at last today and look at the table knowing the boys are safe for another year, we can now read the transfer gossip linking Pompey with every available striker, midfielder and dashing wing-back who maybe available, we can read the tabloid gossip of how muck Gaydamak will pump into the club now we’re safe, 20 million? 100 million? Surely even Roman Abramovic must be nervous now!

Saturday was so much more than about football, women on the south coast can relax that the miserable sod will come home happy, cats won’t be kicked and the kids won’t be snapped at, for read it again “THE BOY’S ARE SAFE!”

Liverpool can stroll down to coast next Sunday for their F.A cup warm -up, Gary O’neil can take his foot out of cotton wool during the week and even the still absent Lua-Lua can flip-flap as much as he wants now, nothing else matters, we can relax until August and not worry about thigh strains and hamstrings and broken metatarsals…..

“What was that about Rooney love?”

we did it get the bag!!!!!!!
Fantastic, well done, what a great weekend. Rednapp for england?
everyone willing to forgive if not forget redknapp now?
Great job Harry! One more job to do --- Finish above Villa lol
showed great form over the last ten matches and thouroughly deserved to stay up, congratulations
" well done- and very well deserved"
Rednapp's Knighthood is on its way. Rise Sir Harry, your troops were legendary. Next Season let's settle for a boring half-way.
" harry will do well for you next season- hes a top manager"
look to the future now, time for progress
What bag is that les? lolol
Well done Pompey, you deserved to stay up. Let's face it, Brum and Brom have been simply appaling.
" fen- is there not an article on any site that you havnt posted on"
Is that not what the site is about millers? Or have i got this wrong? I thought the idea was to post on your own and each others sites to stimulate debate. Cynically, its also so the people who own the site get more hits which in turn leads to more money from the people who pay to put adverts on the site. Are you saying that we should all log on and just look and hope that articles will appear by themselves?
As a post script, i might also add, that (i don't know why) but i cannot post any comments on other clubs forums, as i cannot seem to log in on them. Otherwise, i'd chat to even more supporters and discuss the beautiful game with them.
and any way millers can hardly talk! good luck this month!
Thanks vertigo. I've already had a threatening message from him, telling me that if i continue to post he'll get all the clubs points taken away and that head office is aware of what i'm doing. Strange person, as someone that allegedly runs a site, you'd think that vital would be plaeased to see as many posts as possible.
What a pillock, surely this is all about sharing views, good or bad, I am behind you all the way FEn , but stop calling JT a *****er lol
"fen- yawn yawn mate- ta;lk about something constructive"
It wasn't me complaining millers, it was you. ;)
anyway! lol super pompey staying up, only liverpool had better form for the last 8 games, europe next year???
Do you mean that Liverpool had better form until they met us on the last day of the season, les? :)
Hopefully the Liverpool fans will join in the party and make a great day into a *****in fabulous Day. (Look after your Stereo's)
lol of course! going to be one long party
and ur hub caps
" what? when? how?"
Thanks for the constructive comment millers. Its next sunday. Its a premiership match and we are playing Liverpool. To be honest mate, if i was you, i'd be doing everything i could to make sure i had a team to support next year. It's a shít position to be in, and we've been close to it. I really hope you survive (and i mean that as a football supporter). Theres nothing worse than thinking that your club is gonna fold. Good luck and i hope your still around to fight again next season.
" fen-what are you on mate? pass some my way"
Adrenalin mate. Its good for the system. Thats why we can sing for 90+ minutes at FP. :)
Well done on staying in the premiership, all the best for next season from Vital Swansea.
Good Old Swans...I know a certain AFL team out here by that name (Sydney Swans) and we won it last year, first time ever !!
Ignore millers, he's just on a mission to be Top Vital Saddo. Congrats to Pompey from far-off NZ, it's been a treat reading about the goings on in one of my old stomping grounds and I'm glad you came out on top in the end.
Auckland Owl
cheers m8 apreciate it
" what does this mean fen/???What bag is that les? lolol "
Errr, have you read the article millers, and the posts that followed it? My post was a rhetorical question with a hint of irony in it, intended for this sites administrator and pertaining to what had been written by him in a previous post. Is that ok with you?
its in a blue bag with pompey written on it and in brackets it says prem league i could get you one if you like!
