Youthful side to take on Arsenal reserves

Youthful side to take on Arsenal reserves

Recent games have seen Pompey naming several 1st team players in the reserve sides, but this changes tonight as Guy Whittingham has named a youthful side to take on the unbeaten Arsenal reserves.

Mike Williamson again starts with Antti Niemi also named in goal, but other than that it is a youthful side. Although Eugen Bopp again starts as does trialist Apicerni. Marlon Pack is another that returns to the side after his loan with Wycombe ended last week.

The game is being played at Underhill, the home of Barnet, and kicks-off at 7pm

Pompey: Niemi; Hurst, Williamson, Wilkinson, Sowah; Bopp, Pack, Nlundulu, Kilbey; Apicerni, Cowan-Hall

Subs: T.Smith, Ryan, Cuvelier, du Chattelier, Walshe

Topping last seasons tally the aim

78pts was only enough for a play-off place last season so you suspect we'll have to better that for a top 3 finish this coming season, which begins with Carlisle at Fratton.
