Confidence well placed

'Pompey would beat Wigan', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I did agree with to be honest...

You know me guys; do I rarely think anything other than a Pompey win? Although I really did believe that we would beat Wigan - although I did not think that a 4-0 spanking was on the cards at all!

We were VERY confident that we would do this, the fact that ¾ actually believed this shows as much, and this confidence was well placed, now to get something from Blackburn this weekend - a point would be nice but how crucial could 3pts prove to be...

  • What the poll asked - Pompey v Wigan

  • How you voted - Pompey win 75%, Wigan win 20%, Draw 5%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

I didn't get much back on my £10 invested so the Internet didn't expect us to lose either. I had 2-1 and I must admit I never considered a 4-0 was likely this season.

    I had £20 on 4 - 0 at 80 to 1 so I had a really great day. PUP

I'm still in shock....nice shock though! I did expect us to get something from the Wigan game, but nothing along the lines of what we actually achieved. 3 points at Blackburn would really send the morale sky high and make those around us very nervous. Here's hoping eh! and let's not lose.

    Pompey aim remains the same

Doncaster, Carlisle & Plymouth are the teams to catch. Pompey are further adrift than we would want but the aim to finish top 3 remains the same. That's targeted in the coming weeks.
