Hart - what will be will be...

The latest setback for Pompey, the premier league imposing a transfer embargo on us, was only something that Paul Hart found out about this week - with it 'suggested' by some that the club might have known something about this before hand?

This clearly has disappointed him, you can see it by his face and general demeanour - although to be fair he is carrying himself very well and still seems 'fairly relaxed' - but he 'hopes' that this embargo can be overturned in time for the New Year and is 'under the impression' it will be, but still is not expecting massive amounts of money and knows it will be a struggle regardless.

As for his own position, once again he said he was 'confident in his own abilities' and 'will not be looking over his shoulder' in fear of his job, finishing by saying 'what will be will be.'

You can see some of Hart's thoughts on this in this sky sports video below...

There have been various 'articles' and 'reports' over the past 24-hours, including Hart rejecting the Reading 'rumours' - rumours that he was going to the Championship side - and rejecting the suggestion that Pompey are another Leeds in the making...

All in all my sorrow for Hart grows, he has a near thankless task in hand that is only made all the more difficult week-in-week-out it would seem by further off the field issues, poor bugger. That said he could take 'some' of these issues off him with his own actions. A win tomorrow would help though!

Reporters continue to ask him what is going on, when will it all be sorted etc etc despite the fact it's clear he's as in the dark as the rest of us. He continues to answer patiently, I think if it was me I'd have snapped by now. PUP.

Hart is being treated appallingly. We have a lot to be grateful to him for. Hopefully, after tomorrow, we will have even more to be grateful for....

It must be a managers nightmare being in charge of us right now. Being fair to Paul Hart he seems to block out most of whats going on and tries to do his job to the best of his abilities.

PH is doing a great job, and we will against Wigan, we will go to the carling cup final and we will stay up, and we will strengthen in January.ANd then Pini Zaharvi will sack him, name AG as manager sell a good number of the currant twam and bring in his own young bucks as we become his shop window. Oh by the way we are now linked with another of his young players, from Benfica

PS Im fed up with the premier league...Hull City , west ham and all the other clubs in debt and owed by wide boys...it stinks the lot of it.

PH deserves so much credit for hanging in there and keeping the team concentrating on their job. Whatever the future hold for him Pompey owe him a great deal.

I'll second that Dave.

I have to say I am sick of the abuse PH gets, no one else would have put up with half th c#@p that gets slung in his direction. I admire him and I believe given time will keep us up, we can not afford another change. We are struggling to pay the players as it is let alone anything else!!!
