Match Day Live - Hull City v Pompey

Match Day Live - Hull City v Pompey

"Victory is vital" said Paul Hart, but will Pompey deliver against that other team certain of relegation ? Join Chix and the boys before, during and after the action unfolds from the KC Stadium.

A must win game or would a point be OK ?

A loss is unthinkable, isn't it ?

I think we all agree that our recent performances have not yeilded the points we deserved so hopefully this can be rectified this afternoon.

Kick-off is at 3pm so however you are following the action post a few comments below along the way and hopefully we can chat as our boys bring home the bacon

Afternoon all..
I've no idea why my orange text in the article is turning green .. Maybe Hull will play in green just to help me out !..... Anyway what do we want - A win at all costs ? or will a point do ?

We've got to get something from this game this afternoon. A loss can't even be contemplated for the simple reason of the gap that would widen at the foot of the table and also the massive blow to morale that would follow. Three points on the other hand would put us right in the mix again (if WH loose tomorrow) and give us a big boost too, and maybe get a few of the sceptics to think again on our ability to remain in the EPL. Will a point do?.....of course, but it gives Hull one as well, and we must try to maximise our points against those that are going to be around us at the foot of the table.

Hi ya mate - You ok ?... Yeah I'm expecting a win too (and for WHU to lose tomorrow) Even three of the four Sky pundits have predicted us to win .. The one that didn't was Le Toss .. but even he went for a draw ...

An unexpected visitor

Pompey's Burgess was clearly at a loose end when the game at Crawley was postponed. That much was initially obviously with the level of desire to be involved in footie later revealed.

Cook - no need for a prolific marksman

Cook has said Pompey's lack of a 25 goal striker - I still think we have one - isn't going to impact on our promotion chances. I can see both sides of Cookie's opinion here to be fair.
