Dindane - the goals will come

At the weekend Aruna Dindane missed one, possible two, chances that Ronnie Rosenthal would have been 'proud' of but the striker - and some would use that term loosely in light on those misses - has told sky sports that he knows goals will come soon.

This is something that he also spoke about in the matchday programme at the weekend and almost made himself an instant hero to back up those words...

Dindane, who says he is enjoying and adjusting to life with Pompey well with everyone making him welcome, knows that he missed 'two sitters' at the weekend but hopes that divine intervention will be on his side next time: 'I am still settling, but the manager has been great to me so far and I need to repay him with goals.

'I missed two sitters on Saturday but it is the life of a striker, next time with a bit of luck and God's help I will be able to put them in the back of the net.'

The positives that he has drawn from the misses is the fact that he was actually in the right place to actually miss them! This, in a way is right but like I said yesterday you can only stand people being in the right place and missing so many times and technically a miss is not down to 'bad luck', at least these misses were not they were just poor finishing...

Like I say, he says he is happy to be getting in these positions and feels that once the first league goal comes more will follow as he had confidence in his own ability but is also finding his sharpness as time goes on: 'the positive thing is I am getting into good positions to score and I am finding my sharpness with each game as I did not play for a long time.

'I am confident that once I score my first league goal, the rest will follow.'

Aruna you have talked a good talk here, as you did at the weekend, now walk the walk - lets just hope that those glaring misses have made you even hungrier to punish Hull this weekend!

Lord knows we're creating the chances but our strike rate at the moment is woeful and I believe, is the sole reason, why we find ourselves adrift at the bottom. Only seven teams have had more shots this season than us. I'm of the thinking that I wouldn't mind us conceding three goals a game, as long as we scored four.

Oh and I forgot to add - only seven teams have had more shots than Portsmouth so far this season, BUT we have the worst shot accuracy rating in the league with 34%.

Fine words, now do the actions and bloody soon; in fact starting on Saturday

There could be a queue at Fratton as well ;-) Re Dindane, success breeds confidence - after his first at Hull he'll knock in a second against them.

Not so sure on the "Divine Intervention" but I think the guy's as good as his word. He's gonna be busting a gut to stick one in the net now. It's getting nail biting but we've just got to hang on in there... My prediction for the weekend Hull 1...Pompey 2. So there's 3 points already! Simples....

Dindane = the new Benjani or the new "Yak" in first season in Prem :)

Southport I know he missed those sitters on Sat but I still think he could be a Yak. I'm up for him finding the net Sat with Smith it will be 2 for us. Now its up to the defenders to stop Hull getting more. early prediction 0-2 Portsmouth
race
i'll have some of that race, the guy obviously has class, just needs that all important first league goal. Hull 1-3 Pompey Dindane 2, Kaboul
