Grant's return delayed further by father's death

Grant's return delayed further by father's death

After seeing his return to Pompey initially delayed by work permit issues Avram Grant's re-arrival at the club has been delayed by a further week...

The delay this time is due to the unfortunate death of his father, which I am sure is something we will all pass on our condolences for.

His 82-year-old father, Meir, died over the weekend after a long illness. The funeral took place on Sunday but in accordance to Jewish custom he will spent he next 7-days in mourning, meaning he will almost certainly miss our trip to Hull on Saturday - a game that we really, really need to win, and if we do not he could well return to the club as something more than a director of football...

Once again condolences to Avram, and his family, but it will be good to finally get him in place.

The one thing we need right now is a striking coach. I hope that Hart has all of our strikers at the moment on the pitch explaining that if you don't put the ball in the back of the net, then we won't win!

I can only pass on my sympathies to Avram and his family, and we look forward to his return to Pompey.

I have to echo tracy's sentiments.
