Pompey v Spurs - set for a sell out!

Music to my ears are the sounds coming out of Pompey, via The Pompey Site, that Fratton is heading for its first sell out of the season this weekend!

Of course with Spurs visiting is it any wonder that this is nearly sold out?

There are only 'odd seats available around the ground' now with 'grouped availability is the south stand extension' although prices for those are £50!

Like I say I am not surprised that so many tickets have sold for this game, it was always likely to be the case was it not? And like I also say I am delighted to hear this news, but lets make it count on Saturday eh and drive our team on and back them, those in the hear and now.

I do have more thoughts on this game, of course, and also about those it will focus around - I have a draft copy hand written but need to find the time to type up these thoughts, but will aim to do this later today, but what I would say is lets make this support count and really back the team.

I firmly believe that we are just in giving out some abuse, within the boundaries of what is acceptable, but for me it will hurt these people more if we show united support to the players and the coaching staff we have at Fratton now, so lets focus on supporting them and backing them as this can make a hell of a difference...

I think we really need to replicate the AC Milan game for Spuds on Saturday. The roof needs to be lifted off, and the Spuds fans need to know what real suporting is about. It might even go someway to confusing a couple of the players, how might forget which team they are playing for with all the noise. eg Nikko and Crouchy! lol
sneakay
Haha Sneakay- thats just what I was thinking. Wouldn't it be funny if kranjcar and crouch went the other way? What a scream! But you are right of course, "AC Milan style" is the order of the day, after we have put floppychops right of course. The whole world and his dog will be watching this game (especially off the pitch) and we will do ourselves no favours by going over the top with the abuse. I can just see Floppychops in the tabloids on Monday bleating on about abuse in football and how it shouldn't be allowed. Don't lets give them the amnunition. As Sneakay says, lets show them all what real supporting is all about. As for me - I shall rustle my prawn sandwich wrapper louder than usual...... PUP!

Show us what 'real supporting' is all about??????? Oh please. I think you have great support at home, I thought you were great in the AC Milan match but seriously.......have you never been to White Hart Lane? COYS.

Yes Keane Dogg I have and its not that special, do you really think it is?

I'm hoping I'm going to be well enough to get to this game, it'll be my first full 90 mins this season - of course we have to give Jamies Dad some stick, but hopefully it'll be good banter in the main - and it'll be great if we can lift the roof like we did for the Milan game - show him and our ex-players what they're missing, and convince Jamo where he should stay!
tracyc
Yes, it is. I'm not having a dig (honestly I'm not) but we do create a very good atmosphere at The Lane, especially in against Ar5ena1/Chelski?Euro nights and I appreciate that you do at Fratton park too. Will be white hot on Saturtday. COYS.

whenever i watch spurs on the box the atmosphere seems really good, but i must say when i went last season for the 1-1 draw i thought - on the whole - the support was poor, was expecting something more tbh. it 'should' be something else this weekend tho.
