Pompey's December changes for TV

Sky sports have announced their December scheduling and this sees a couple of Pompey games changed.

One change means a kick-off time is moved forward a few hours, the other sees the game played a couple of days later!

The game against Burnley at Fratton, which was scheduled for 3pm on Saturday 5th December, will now kick-off at 12.45pm - still on the same day though.

Another Fratton game, this time against Arsenal, sees the match moved a couple of days from its original Monday 28th December to Wednesday 30th with a 7.45pm kick-off.

No doubt people will work around this somehow, but I also expect this is far from ideal for a large amount of people, especially the Arsenal game nearer to the New Year - and especially for those with further to travel and family to get back to in-light of public transport being more difficult to come across, not to mention more expensive! But hey ho, what can you do eh!

I would suggest not making too many plans for the 3pm Liverpool game at Fratton on Saturday 19th December as well, as ESPN are yet to announce their December scheduling - I doubt they will miss the chance to show this one though...

The price of television - at least we do not have a evening kick off on Bowxing Day like a couple of years ago!

One mans beer is another mans poison.. I welcome both these changes suits me fine.. Strange that as much as day disliked the evening Boxing day game it enabled me to spend time with the family before travelling down which would have meant the whole day out.. The important thing is that (as we know fixtures will get changed) we know well enough in advance to make changes to our plans..

It is what is. Moan or not, you can either get there or can't. The God that is television dictates.

arsenal on 28th was easier for me than the 30th, but depending on costs involved - not being able to drive and needing to reply on trians you see - and my ability to get home for the new year (as i would rather spend this with my 'immediate family' in devon than those in pompey, no offence to them) hopefully i can still make that game, burnley makes no odds for me tbh...

No probs with Burnley and Arsenal is ok for me but Michelle works Wednesday evenings, in Copno,r so it will cause her problems with parking and she might make the second half.

I find the main thing about the TV changes is to know about them as early as possible so that you can plan for it, there are always some people who find it better and some who find it a problem. Would personally rather have had the Arsenal game on the bank holiday day time, but Sky have decided.
