Pack extends Wycombe stay

Pompey youngster Marlon Pack has extended his loan spell with Wycombe until the end of October - although we have insisted on a 24-hour recall clause...

A statement on Wycombe's official website, www.wwfc.com, read: 'Portsmouth youngster Marlon Pack has extended his stay at Adams Park until Saturday 31st October, wwfc.com can reveal.

'The player's youth loan arrangement includes a 24-hour recall clause should the Premier League side wish to bring the 18-year-old back to Fratton Park.

'Pack has featured four times for the Wanderers in League One this season, displaying an effective range of passing and composure on the ball.

'The young playmaker has previously expressed how much he is enjoying his time at the club and would welcome an extension to his loan deal.'

It makes sense to extend this loan as it gives the 18-year-old more chance of playing regular 1st team football - something that can only benefit him and us in the future.

Pack has been earning some pretty good reviews so far for the league one side, and we will be getting a better indication of just how well he is doing from the ed of Vital Wycombe, Len, later in the week.

So, as the saying goes, watch this space...
