McAllister deal 'breaks down'

Well our hopes have been raised, only to be dashed yet again as talks to bring Gary McAllister to the club as a coach/no.2 have 'broken down'...

Sky sports news had said 'any deal for McAllister looks uncertain with both parties believed to be haggling over the terms of his contract.'

With Paul Hart now confirming to The News that the deal is off: 'we couldn't agree anything.

'He was the man I wanted so it's disappointing.'

Some 'reports' say that it was the length of the deal on offer to Gary Mac that we could not agree on, with it 'said' he wanted more than we were offering - either way this deal is now off and we are back to square one...

just typical...

We probably didn't offer him a very long contract on the basis that PH might not be around much longer and the rest would go with him, including GM, with very little compensation.
