Pompey man of the match against Everton

Pompey man of the match against Everton

'Kevin-Prince Boateng was the man of the match against Everton', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I would say are fair enough to be honest...

I still find it hard to single anyone out as man of the match as all had good, fully committed and 100% effort giving games - although clearly some had to be 'slightly better' than others, and as so many have said to me, both those at the game and watching it on the box, 'The Prince was really good' it seems about fair.

At the moment, despite a fair few having some slight concerns about the guy when he arrived - more so at the price tag I think - he is proving a fantastic signing who is getting better with each game, long may this continue!

  • What the poll asked - Man of the match against Everton?

  • How you voted - Boateng 44%, Dindane 13%, Ben-Haim 12%, James 11%, O'Hara 9%, Smith (90) 7%, Brown (81) 1%, Wilson 1%, Kaboul 1%, Vanden Borre 1%, Mokoena (73) 0%, Sub - Yebda (73) 0%, Sub - Kanu (81) 0%, Sub - Webber (90) 0%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

I thought that the team generally played well together. Having sat with two EVerton fans in the pub watching, they both said that we deserved at least a point and that our luck would turn around. I have to agree that sooner (hopefully) rather than later the good times will happen and the points will start to appear.

a win is what we need, and i feel sure we will get this at wolves - i know it sounds easy in theory but 2-3 wins and we are right back in the mix again as loads and loads of sides are on 6-9pts, we are not done for yet!
as for The Prince, well done to him, think he just about deserved it.

Amazing that No Spurs fans rated him at all, maybe he is their equivalent to Nugent?

    An unexpected visitor

Pompey's Burgess was clearly at a loose end when the game at Crawley was postponed. That much was initially obviously with the level of desire to be involved in footie later revealed.

Cook - no need for a prolific marksman

Cook has said Pompey's lack of a 25 goal striker - I still think we have one - isn't going to impact on our promotion chances. I can see both sides of Cookie's opinion here to be fair.
