Meeting with SAF now BACK ON!

Meeting with SAF now BACK ON!

The circus that is Portsmouth Football Club continues to roll on with SAF now issuing a statement on The Pompey Site saying that he will be attending tonight's meeting afterall.

See his statement below...

As PFC fans will be aware, I cancelled a planned meeting for supporters that had been scheduled for this evening.

This was primarily because I felt it would be a distraction to the game tomorrow, and thought it would be better to meet with fans on Saturday evening or Sunday, after the game.

I also had a major business commitment on Friday afternoon that I could not release myself from.

However, having spoken with some fans, I accept that this may have been an oversight on my part, and therefore tonight's meeting will go ahead as scheduled - at the agreed time and place.

During this meeting, I hope I will get the opportunity to allay any concerns fans have.

My apologies for the confusion.

Can I also take this opportunity to clarify the remarks that have been attributed to me in the Spanish press.

I did not in any way suggest that there would be no funds available for transfers until next summer.

I was responding to a question regarding whether the club would consider signing major Spanish stars such as David Villa, to which I replied that not until after the infrastructure of the club and other issues were sorted - i.e. certainly not in January!

My remarks have been both taken out of context and clearly lost in translation.

I very much look forward to meeting with the club's supporters this evening to clarify the above.

Just read the statement and it is full of crap...
better to meet with fans on Saturday evening or Sunday, after the game
You never suggested that !
I also had a major business commitment on Friday afternoon that I could not release myself from
You agreed to the date and time in the first place!
However, having spoken with some fans
Well nobody on the attendee list has spoken to YOU
I hope I will get the opportunity to allay any concerns fans have
Excellent! Are you going to resign then?
My remarks have been both taken out of context and clearly lost in translation
Never admitted to anything have you?.. If you discussed club business via the club this could not happen

SAF I strongly believe you are a LIAR and think we little people down here in Pompey are stupid enough to fall for your lies... finally I would seriously take some protection with you tonight .. Friday ni [Edited by hickin]

And actions speak louder than words!

Crikey ! Chix is writing in bold !!! SAF's in trouble. Well said sir :-/

Ok, I havent posted for a little while mainly because I think very little has needed to be added to everyone else's commets. However, with the ongoing propoganda, and speculation - much f which is media generated directly or indirectly - I think this is the first piece of positive output from our club and chairman. Need I add more fuel to the fire to speculate about the articals on the Beeb today about Storrie considering his position, being an act to use the media for our own good for once? I am really hoping that this will be the first of regular statements from SaF on PFC site, to avoid the "My remarks have been both taken out of context and clearly lost in translation.". And please, PVA, ask the Sheikh to have a god damn shave!

Well we need ACTION and we need it now!! All i have to do is change my day round again, probably end in divorce, and work out how to get there.
25/09/2009 13:28:00
.. just drop everything eastneydave... what does he care.. not like you have busy lives to arrange yourself.. oh and Dave.Jolley good to hear from you mate.. Re his shave I completely agree with you.. Eastneydave.. can you take a (cut-throat) razor along with you tonight and present it to SAF for us ;)

I've just read an email from Colin Farmery who said "I kid you not I took a call from Mr Al-Fahim this morning and he is aware that he made a bit of a PR gaffe and the meeting with the fans is back on" .. It goes on to say that security will be on the door (usual practice) - Only those on the PVA attendee list will be allowed in (that our Eastneydave and paultsmouth for this meeting) and that the press will not be allowed in.. Do I eat my words now ??
Colin.. Hope you don't mind me quoting you

MotM in poor Notts County show...Cambridge next

There wasn't too much to cheer from the Notts County defeat was there, well certainly not the 2nd half at Fratton Park but one plus was seen as Amine Linganzi for Pompey.

Double figure aim for Baker

Goals are in the game of Baker; we've seen this already as the midfielder has scored four for Pompey since his arrival from MK Dons in the summer. His aim is at least 10-goals.
