The Pompey Virtual Alliance (PVA) was created by Pompey fans, in the virtual world, for Pompey fans throughout the world - our sole intentions were, still are, and always have been to find out the facts about what is going on at the club we all love to ensure that the best interests of those that really matter are looked out for, these people being us, THE FANS.
SAF has taken control of the club but on the face of it does not seem to be doing much in a positive light to help the club - he came in with promises of listening to the fans, being open and honest with us and holding regular meetings... so far none of this has held true... He does not interact with us via the official website and the only things we hear from him are the occasional words to some on his ground tours and his words spoken through the media, most frequently in the Arabian and Spanish press!
Our owner had his ideal opportunity to put forward his proposals to the fans in the meeting organised with the PVA and other supporters groups this evening, by pulling out at the last minute he has done nothing to help himself or his own credibility - something, which with all due respect, most had discarded long ago...
A lot of people, both previously and to be fair currently at the club, need to take a long hard look at themselves and ALL are as accountable as anyone - and I include Peter Storrie, who of course had it not been for him we would be up a certain creek the past few months and in more of a mess than we are now, but that said he has been here over the years with more than one previous owner that also got us into this mess, so this something that we cannot overlook, then again nor can we the impact of him walking away now will have on the club - debts will be called in, administration would seem a near certainty... A complete and utter shambles and train wreck of a club was taken on by SAF, who seems to be unable to get this house in order and anyone knows that if you cannot repair, or reorganise a mess it will just get worse!
Pompey fans, something that all at the PVA are, only want what is best for the club and what appears to be in the clubs best interests at the moment is for SAF to step aside and let someone else come in and run the club, if indeed anyone else wants to do this now? Honour and face was kept by SAF - something that is very important in the Arabian culture - by his completion of his takeover of Portsmouth Football Club but more and more of this is being lost by himself and the club, which is viewed as a joke by the watching world, the longer the current situation carries on.
Until you address the fans they can only think the worse of you SAF, you had your chance to do this at the planned meeting this evening. However you have opted out of this and that will only lead people to further doubt your ability to carry this club forward or even be able to allow it to tread water at the moment? So, the fans appear to be left with no option but to beg you to consider you ownership of the club and gracefully move aside as until you make us aware otherwise this would seem to be in our best interests?
Too many people have kept saying that they would do what was in the best interests of the club and look out for the fans, at this point in time all that seems to be happening from most at PFC is looking out for their best interests? A meeting was called off due to concerns over it disrupting the player's preparations for the game the following day. However, surely a positive message following that meeting would have only helped the team and the supporters in focusing their attentions on the matter in hand, namely collecting Premier League points. The cancellation of the meeting is only going to disrupt things even more and the fall out of this at the game against Everton could be even worse as it is inevitable that anger will now be directed towards you, something that cannot and will not benefit the club or the fans, even less so at a time when the more support the club gets the more this will help with the on field performance!
All that all of this is doing at the moment is forcing more and more of those that are needed at the club in this time of hardship to turn their back on it, which for something that you love with all your heart is not something that is done easily...

In the months you have assoociated with Portsmouth Footbal Club can you provide one example of where you have acted solely in the interests of the club
I think I would hear an 'erm...' coming on
Sling ya hook al-Fahim you are embarassing yourselff and more importantly OUR (not your) club... oh and take that silly ******** baseball cap with you
unfortunately this is open only to those put forward from supporters groups and fans websites - altho they ALL then report back to their groups so ALL fans should get the message - in many ways it would be much easier to issue statments on the official site outlining intentions, but that appears to be too easy for SAF...
