SAF postpones fans meeting

SAF postpones fans meeting

As you may, or may not be aware SAF was due to hold a meeting with the Pompey Virtual Alliance (PVA) and various supporters clubs this week - this was cancelled, some would say unsurprisingly so, this afternoon...

The following statement was issued to us: 'I have decided to postpone tomorrow's meeting with the fans. I am concerned that the coverage generated will distract the players from their preparations for Saturday's crucial game.

'I will convene this meeting again at the earliest opportunity.

'Play up Pompey!

'Sulaiman Al Fahim.'

I do not really know what to add to be honest, I am not surprised in many ways but feel extremely let down and think that he has also let himself down really.

The guy continues to do himself no favours, this was his big chance to have his say but this will only further frustrate and infuriate many, many people...

PLAY UP POMPEY!

What can I say? Truth is that protesting at the match is likley to do no more than upset the players, so I would recommend not doing so, at least until the end of the match. Do we protest by not buying from the club shop? - does that not just financially hitthe club once again? I have severe concerns about fahim, but I really am not sure what options we have unless Storrie's consortium make him an offer he is to greedy to refuse? Peter??????????????????????????????????????????

protesting is something that i am strongly against tbh - so i would hope this does not happen...
i think more 'disruptive' to our plans could be the fallout of this postponed meeting and 'rumours' that storrie is resigning? i am not his biggest fan but i think he is the one that has 'just about' held things together, if he walks we are proper *****ed!

storrie has to stay . there would be no pompey because he kept us aive over the summer and worked his socks off for us.

Ooh bloody err. Did SAF think postponing it wouldn't reach the press and furthermore the players? It's clear as day that he doesn't have the money and our fight is no longer for survival in the Premiership, it's survival full stop. Fingers crossed there is an innocent explanation for this otherwise we have to pray Storrie and his backers can pull us out of this mess.

I hope Storrie stays on. If he does, there will always be the possibilty that he will buy the club through that consortium. If he resigns, I think that we will lose him forever. However, playing against Everton has nothing to do with Fahim's dog left overs (****).

Lets make the park rock (AC Milan style) on Saturday & support the team to try and get the win we so desperately need. Maybe after the game supporters should stay and show support for Peter Storrie

i do not think that storrie resigning would mean it was the end for him at pompey... if anything this 'might' make it easier for him and the what's it called brothers to come in, not that i am entirely convinced by this either if truth be known - altho can it be any worse than it is at the mo?
i think SAF, for his own sake and ours will leave fairly soon...

SAF (or Dr DooLittle as I now like to call him) is treating Portsmouth Football Club like an unpaid whore - I for one will start the anti-Fahim chants from the Fratton End on Saturday. The man is a complete and utter, full of hot air, see you next Tuesday. Quite frankly he's bottled it !

This split was inevitable given the nature of the relationship between SAF and Storrie. The thing to remember is SAF guarantees anmbout£25 million of our v debt and without him we are in administration 10 points deducted and relegated for certainty. There is a long way to go in this farce yet.

its just good to hear that the players are putting in that extra work load, striving to turn things around. I hope as much as you jeer the Doctor that every bit of effort from the players is cheered on by the fans this saturday. A point is really needed!
