Match Day Live - Carlisle v Pompey
Surely we can win this one. Can't we ?
Despite our recent results we must surely enter this game as favorites to progress into the last sixteen of this everso prestigious competition.
A victory - And the papers will claim we can use it as a springboard for our league form and start to steadliy climb the table
A loss - And the knives will be out for Paul Hart without a doubt. If indeed they are not already.
In fact, some are even calling it a 'must win' game for Pompey's under pressure Manager and although I do not personally subscribe to that view there were strong rumours that a certain Mr Hoddle and a certain Mr O'Leary have been contacted by a certain Premiership club, doing the rounds this afternoon.
Anyway I am sure all that talk will be academic as our boys in blue will return from their long journey victorious !

It'll be great if Dindane starts tonight.. in a 442 alongside ... Webber or Utaka ?
Mad is correct .. Brown is not cup tied and I hope will play with Yebda in the middle of a 4 man midfield
I think you could be right and I have a felling that that will be the preferred choice once Dindane is fit and IF we play a 442.. but I think it'll be Webber tonight .. Also just hope we are not risking Dindane if not fully recovered.. I'd rather wait a week or two if there is any doubt whatsoever
I'm sure we will be ok tonight.. although I must admit I am not normally this nervous before a CArling Cup game.. To be honest I'm not really worried about the competition but imagine what the press will do should we lose.. It's unthinkable !
