so, the nugget scored 2 for burnley - that doesnt help us at all! because of matches in hand I say we are currently FOUR points behind our rivals ... hull, birmingham and wolves. luckily hull are playing brum which means both cant get 3 points. wolves vs fulham will be a good match but fulham are a real good team now. we NEED to get SOMETHING ANYTHING from this game - i would take ONE point - i really would! because we could potentially be FIVE points behind after these fixtures are over and that is quite a lot after only SIX games ... sorry for caps but it needs to be emphasised! PUPPPU!

chixy - the fact is not that he scored twice but BOTH were really well taken, confident looking goals!

I wonder if we could pull him back if he starts scoring too much.. But by the sound of it he aint never coming back!

1st goal - good decent cross - he was marked just inside near post - he jumped higher than a basketball player and bullet header into the top of the net. 2nd goal was waiting in the box - pass/cross into feet, turned so his back was to goal (2 men marking him) turned a little more and just hit a curling top of the net goal. i was very impressed. its just the way the cookie crumbles - hopefully someone can score a brace for us today and then we wont really care! =)

2016-17 Champions Review: April

Pompey had a 6 point gap and were playing as good as they had all season, but with 7 games remaining, not even the most optimistic fan could have predicted how it would unfold.

2016-17 Champions Review: March

Every season has its highs and lows. The draw at home to Morecambe was a body blow for Pompey, but little did we know that the next home game against Crewe was to be our turning point.

Done and dusted - O'Brien joining Coventry

Academy graduate O'Brien, who went on to play for Barnet, Brentford and Dagenham following his release by Pompey, will leave Fratton Park again - he'll link up with Doyle at Coventry.
