Hart gives an honest account

Hart gives an honest account

That is the title that sky sports have given a video in which Paul Hart talks openly and honestly about a range of issues at Pompey...

He talks about the takeover that 'took a little longer than we thought' so we have had to go from what we were budgeting for, to nothing - so we have 'had to cope'.

SAF has told him that he is the manager, and will remain the manager for the long-term future with all committed to firstly keeping the club up and then building.

Speaks highly of David James, who it is 'said' has had some high profile fallings out with Hart, who he is delighted to still have.

Hart also feels that as long as time is given to the current squad it is more than capable of staying up, and if we do stay 'competitive' with the 'introduction of more funds later in the season' we can then start thinking about 'other things'.

You can see Hart's views on the above, and more including talk about Jamie's Dad, in this sky sports video...

I think it is a video well worth a watch, so give it a go and then as always comment on it below...

I hope he's right. I am prepared to support him but that post match interview with Wisey on Saturday soured things a little.

He has to learn that fans are not daft and wool can not be pulled over our eyes .. O'Hara tired ?.. well not according to O'Hara.. furthermoore Hart said on the Wednesday before the game that we should expect to see Yebda play on Saturday.. Anyway.. he is here to stay so we must get behind the bloke and if Saturdays preformance (not result) was a marker things will get better .. I'm just not sure when !

Is he here to stay? ("he is the manager, and will remain the manager for the long-term future"). What I heard was " for the forseeable future" - and I can't see beyond next Saturday :-(

On a different note, I was watching the physio interview on pfcTV and it's good to hear that Finnan could be back soon - we could do with him

I always thought that as soon as the club endorsed PH publicly as manager, he'd have 48 hours to clear his locker. Off you go, son.

I appreciate the comments he's made. But It doesn't detract from one simple thing - tactically, he is stuck in 4-5-1 mode. If he really wants to stay, an assistant MUST be hired by the wolves game AT THE VERY LATEST.

too many "hopefully's" and i think he has benn turned into a snidey liar, the footballing reasons statements, the solent radio comments, the O'hara tired affair; the man is becoming sadly a press joke. He is tactically out of his depth and powered_by_pies is spot on, hart needs an assistant; he refuses to comment about an assistant so people will speculate he is paranoid about his position;perhapse he should be. Niko left and James tried to leave not because they are lazy its because they had a row with him because they have no faith in his ability. The man should have two games to turn it around but i suspect he will get more

Vital Pre-Match - League 2, 1st October

The 2016-17 season continues with the latest round of matches this weekend, which will see us among those having a match in this upcoming schedule with three-points the aim of course.

Tollitt still has a Pompey chance

Well, according to Cook. He's insisting Tollitt, the former Everton academy player who had returned to Merseyside to join Tranmere on loan, can still return to Pompey.

Pompey win and lose collectively

As such Cook doesn't want the fans to start turning on individual players, which has been the case with Bennett with Smith not exactly viewed as a 'fans' favourite' either.
