Hart on Bolton defeat

Hart on Bolton defeat

So, here we go again. Pompey are beaten again, this time 3-2 against Bolton in a big '6-pointer', but what did Paul Hart have to say?

Well, various things with him being happy that we did well to come back twice, and felt that on created chances we should have won... easy, easy... But he was left disappointed with the goals as he felt that we contributed mostly to these rather than Bolton forcing them.

To be honest I do not have anything else to add, but I would suggest checking out the interview, and as hard is it might be for some try hearing it through...

See Harts views in this sky sports video - here.

I think that I agree with Hart about their goals. Tal Ben Haim was very poor at the back, especially in the third goal. We looked good, but was expecting them to score every time they attack. Mokoena was poor too.

The defence have to be as one unit. The defence yesterday was a bunch of individuals rying to make it up as they go along. I can see why this happens when they haven't had time together but it must improve soon. Lucky we've got that Carlisle game which could be v useful in terms o acting as a "pre-season friendly" as we've just about re-started the season with a completely new line up

What's the point in being able to come back twice, if we keep conceading again!

Ahh, the dreaded late goal conceding illness has returned. Need to cure that horrid thing! Terrible.

You've got back control of the game then you give the opponents a life line and take off your attack; which Hart hasn't properly, consistently or factually explained to snybodies understanding or satisfaction, the result is you put your defense under last minute goal pressure. Simply stupid

For once I was hoping for Mullins to come on for Mokoena. At least he made a good tackle to save a goal!

Technically this isn't a decision that needs to be made for a couple of weeks as Pompey's former Everton youngster Ben Tollitt is due to remain on loan with Tranmere until Christmas.
