Shorey deal 'hits a snag'...
The move to bring Nicky Shorey in on loan from Villa could fall through, if it has not already fallen through?
This move seems to have taken a long time to complete, and sky sports have just said that the deal might have 'hit a snag', which I guess leaves this in doubt.
'If' it falls through we might be too late in the day to try and arrange another loan deal instead...

Sky sports say this is off as we could not agree a deal with Shorey.

In forest ecology, a snag refers to a standing, partly or completely dead tree, often missing a top or most of the smaller branches. so yea if he's hit a tree no wonder the deals not been done yet ;D

Bit gutted if this doesn't go through .. Belhadj has played his socks off so far this season.. but he's never a left back for a crisis.. we found that out last season.. There's always Hermann?

Sky sports news has just confirmed the deal IS OFF. Shorey and pompey couldn't agree the deal but that it's nothing to do with money...interesting. As a villa fan i'm delighted.

disappointed as this means we have wasted half a day on a loan that has not happened, we could have got in someone else!
