Ritchie loaned to Notts County

Sky sports is 'claiming' that Matt Ritchie has joined Notts County on loan.

Gosport born Ritchie is a kid that many, myself included, feel has a future in the game and hopefully this loan is nothing more than just a loan as being a local he would surely kill to wear the shirt, right?

It is 'reported', although there is nothing official yet, that he had joined the league two side on loan until Christmas.

Good luck to Matty, this loan will do you further good. I wish you well and hope that you will return to Fratton at the end of this loan, and return to stay...

UPDATE...

The Pompey Site has now confirmed this loan deal, Ritchie will stay with Notts County until the end of the year.

Bit of a relief that .. I was worried he'd go permantly .. A great prospect and it'll give him some more league experience.. but I've a sneaky feeling that he just might not come back..hope I'm wrong

Notts County want to make it permanent, but they know that he is highly rated here, I think they tried to sign him on a permanent ealier in the window, so would have to be a very good offer to prise him away.
