£3m Williamson offer accepted

£3m Williamson offer accepted

Sky sports news is reporting that an offer of £3m for Mike Williamson has been accepted and he is now on his way to the club to undergo a medical and talk terms...

Watford had previously rejected an approach but if sky sports are to be believed then we could be confirming his signing this evening before 5pm?

The latest on David James is that he arrived for training this morning, left this afternoon - around 1pm - only to return minutes later for 'treatment on his knee' and is still at our Eastleigh training ground...

Not ANOTHER defender? We need a striker (who can score goals).

I think he's staying now (jamo), if he was going to leave, i think he'd of gone by now.

Let's hope so footy_fans. I just hope twitch doesn't make a last second bid for James!

Williamson is very keen to come to Pompey and they reckon that's the reson he didn't turn up for the Watford game on Saturday.. apparently he went AWOL and they had to replace him at the last hour before kick-off.. basically forced the issue after he was refused transfer request

a 6"3 CB is exactly what we need.. Playin Mokeona at the back doesnt cut the mustard as we found out last sunday.. We need that height defending set pieces.. he can also score a few headers for us too

I just hope PH knows what he's doing and gets it right pulling in these untested premier players ahead of the struggle this season, OK we have Ben Haim and I like Kaboul, so hope Wiliamson can fit in when required. Still wish we had some flair midfielder's to open up a defense with an incisive pass, a player with some class....Despite the transfer activity, I'm still depressed and live on hope rather than expectation.

you want flair? belhadj has the pace to create a chance, boateng has a blistering shot and can pick a ball, o'hara can pick a pass, cross and takes free kicks for the england u21s, krancar has flair so long as he stays, that new guy from benfica is not short on flair either, for gods sake what is with all of this pessimism, a win at bolton and we can put our season back on track

and we have six half decent strikers, smith, utaka, kanu, nugent, dindane(who we were linked with for 7million) and piquionne! and at least we have had time to get a replacement for johnson, poor old hull havn't even had that
