Pompey sign Ben Haim?

Pompey sign Ben Haim?

There is nothing official from The Pompey Site yet but BBC Sport is 'reporting' that Pompey have signed Tal Ben Haim from Citeh?

Ben Haim was in talks with Pompey on Sunday and if the BBC is right, and they do have some quotes, the Israeli international has signed: 'it's a big challenge. I think we can turn things around.'

It is being said that the 27-year-old has signed a 4-year contract - hopefully we will get something official on this shortly...

The Sun is 'reporting' that we are looking to tie up a £4m double deal for Ben Haim and Benjani, who saw a move to Hull break down over the weekend.

The Daily Mail is also in on the act this morning 'claiming' that a swap deal involving David James and Carlo Cudicini has been rejected...

Niko Kranjcar is set to complete a move to Spurs though for a mere £3m? Surely that must include the fee for Kevin-Prince Boateng and loan signing fee for Jamie O'Hara being wiped off...

He's a quality defender so a good start if this is correct. He'll play well with Kaboul.

Israeli sites saying he has signed, good player but quote error prone and gets caught out of position often; lets hope he has matured a bit, if he has he could turn out to be a bargain

sky sports say he has signed, BBC say he has signed - that for me is 'just about' good enough, would be nice to have something official tho...

i wouldnt be so confident Teddy, according to sky sports james is 'desperate' to leave and joib spurs, i do not want him to leave but if he does want out ***** him, sell him... never had jamo pegged as one of the deserters tbh tho...

sky sports also say zaki deal still possible?

Spurs is fast becoming a museum of dodgy keepers. Good luck to them.

I've not been convinced by Ben Haim yet. We need a centre-half to play well in at least 30 games this season (like AdZ).

Pompey aim remains the same

Doncaster, Carlisle & Plymouth are the teams to catch. Pompey are further adrift than we would want but the aim to finish top 3 remains the same. That's targeted in the coming weeks.

Decision time with Tollitt at Tranmere

Technically this isn't a decision that needs to be made for a couple of weeks as Pompey's former Everton youngster Ben Tollitt is due to remain on loan with Tranmere until Christmas.
