'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Most would not keep Hart...

'I would not keep Paul Hart as the Pompey manager', not my vote, yours - although these findings from PompeyFrippy's poll are thoughts that I do not necessarily agree with to be honest...

Yep, in all honesty Hart does not convince me as the manager but who else will take the job?

Well, let me rephrase that, who else would take the job that actually has some form of experience and would have worked - and will continue to work - to the constraints that he has?

Answer, not that many, if any...

Hart has now, and will continue to over the next 24-hours or so hopefully, assembled his own team - so lets not give him a chance to see how a team of players that do want to play for him perform, although it is not just about what they do, it is also about what he does, the selecting of players in the right positions and right formations, formations that give us a fighting chance of getting points and of course scoring goals. You cannot win without scoring!

Our season starts now, well against Bolton - he will very much have his team by then so lets completely start judging him from then on in, half a dozen-a dozen games will then decide his fate, although 'if' he was moved on we would still be left with the 'who would take the job' scenario...

At the end of the day Hart is our manager so lets back him eh! Assuming that the players will do this, as I suspect most will seen as they are the ones he wanted, it will help.

  • What the poll asked - Would you keep Paul Hart?

  • How you voted - No 59%, Yes 41%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

I think the poll really needed to ask whether we even wanted him at the club, which i think most would say yes! I voted no, not as manager, because i just dont know whether he can get the most out of this team.

I am gonna support Hart at this time. Which kind of goes back on what I posted after last seasons final game.

He's here, he's all we've got. I voted against as well, but I will support him to the bitter end, just as I did Tony Adams.

Poor poor Paul Hart ! He's doing the best he can with the tools in the box, thanks to Sacha and now SAF! The fact he got that team to perform the way it did on Saturday suggests he needs to be given until January at least...for him to take a bullet on behalf of these owners would be unjust. I'm sure he would have liked the talents that HR was given on a plate, but does he moan about being down to the bare bones - NO, he gets on with the job... I will support him for now, and even if he loses the managers job it would be a crime not to have him back in charge of the (ahem) Academy! Although I doubt he would be able to take that step down.

compare performances with top players under Adams...and the sainted HR at times-with our "Stella" ex's...to PH's raggamuffins on Sunday...give the man a chance

I believe in Paul Hart, have always believed in him, don't know why really. From what I have seen this year it seems to me that he has re-created fighting spirit, and now that we offloaded all those players that were here just for the sake of it, I cannot see Hart going wrong. He has his own team, albeit with limitations but this team already showed very encouraging signs.

I would keep Hart just for the fact that he's brought in a whole team and deserves some time to get them playing together - I'd give him till the next window and if we are still bottom then, then bye bye!

I agree with Stuart,it's no good getting rid of him now,but if we're in dire straits come January then it's got to be bye bye
