O'Hara comes in on loan
Pompey have officially, with it again confirmed on The Pompey Site, signed Jamie O'Hara from Spurs in a loan deal.
The midfielder has come in on loan until January - with the option to extend until the end of the season - to give us another midfield option through the middle or further out wide - he can also play as a full back at a push, so he offers great versatility as well.
I think this is a really good loan signing and one that I am very happy with as I rate the guy.
O'Hara himself is happy to have arrived, where he will be among plenty of familiar faces: 'it was frustrating to be sat on the bench at Tottenham. Hopefully I can come here and get some games under my belt.
'My agent told me that Paul Hart was really interested a few days ago and Harry Redknapp asked me if I'd like to go out on loan.
'It's a chance to play for a side who have done really well over the last few years, so I jumped at the opportunity.
'I know Younes from when he was at Tottenham and Kevin-Prince Boateng and Michael Brown have also joined, so it's good to meet up with them again.
'I'm always going to give 100 percent and hopefully I'll fit in straight away and get to know the lads quite quickly.
'If we're going to play 4-3-3 then hopefully I'll play in the centre of midfield, where I can attack and score some goals.'
Attack away my good man, attack away!
This concludes our business for the day, surely, but what a day on the whole eh?
People knock him but I think we have to give a big thanks to Peter Storrie for doing these deals, and I believe that these were all the deals that he has had lined up for many months and has been working tirelessly on for the past few weeks.
So, credit where it is well and truly due on this one!
Also, and sorry not to have mentioned more on this, Pompey youngster Marlon Pack has joined Wycombe on a months loan.
Something that he is happy to have done: 'reserve team football is good but this is a good opportunity for me to play first-team football.
'It will be a great experience for me to learn from someone like (Wycombe manager) Peter Taylor, who has got so much knowledge.
'Hopefully this will be good for my game and help me improve so that I can come back to Pompey a better player.'
This will do him, and of course us plenty of good, so good luck to him.
PLAY UP POMPEY!
