Boateng and O'Hara on their way?

'Reports' are claiming that Kevin-Prince Boateng and Jamie O'Hara are 'set' to join Pompey?

Boateng is 'said' to be joining us for a fee of £4m, with him currently undergoing a medical and discussing personal terms ahead of a move to Fratton?

Jamie's Dad has also confirmed to sky sports that we want to take his Spurs teammate O'Hara on loan, for how long I do not know, but this is something that he is willing to let happen: 'Jamie's a terrific player but needs to play games and I'll let him go to.

'Portsmouth on loan. He'll do a great job for them.'

In all honest I am not that sure on Boateng, that said I have not seen enough of him to know what to think - although £4m seem 'excessive' to me...

As for O'Hara, yes please - even if it is only in a loan capacity.

Sunderland defender Nyron Nosworthy is another player that we are 'said' to have expressed an interest in today but Sunderland are believed to have rejected an offer?

'Word on the street' had it that Algerian international midfielder Hadj Aissa, Ivory Coast striker Aruna Dindane and his international colleague Steve Gohouri, a defender, could all be at Fratton to sign today?

Amr Zaki, Nuno Assis and Mike Williamson - although an offer has been rejected - are others that are 'thought' to be very much on the Pompey radar as players to arrive before the end of the transfer window...

wow so if word on the street is right thats a possible 5 new faces today!! holy $%^& thats impressive work, and they don't seem bad signing either, ahh some positivities starting to come back lol :D

Zaki and Dindane would definately add much needed firepower upfront, but we need someone to take Distin's place, maybe a recall for Linvoy!!

I like O'Hara and hope Prince Buster will show his potential (bloody ought to for 4 million). This might be a stupid question but what happened to Pele?
Et_tu_Pompeii
Not excited by Boateng, but O'Hara would be a quite a coup.

Cummon Harry, do us a favour!

4mill seems a lot for keV the ponce boetang, ohara is good but another loaner won't help club stability.

Russell I think we need to fill up woth loan signings for two reasons. Try before you buy and we do not have the necessary funds YET to make permanent buys.

O hara yes, Prince not for me. What a day at FP, a bet Storrie's quill has run out!

I liked O'Hara, always played well against us. Stupid name Boateng has a lot to prove & £4m is an awful lot of money especially when you think they offered us only £6m for Crouch. A lot of new faces that will have to gel very quickly!!!
storagematt
o hara will be your best player, im sure....tenacity in midfield and knows where the back of the net is also.

Good news - we've signed Dindane on a seasons loan with option to buy. Very very good news

Cheers Harry. Would rather have had Dos Santos than the Prince but he has something just whether Hart can get it out of him. O'Hara is a feisty little fella, very much in the mould of Paul Scholes.

Prince will come good given time, and time he could have; we now have 76 midfielders!

Boateng is a great prospect with good allround skills that sadly didn't fit in with us. I can see him going on to be a sucess with you but in all honesty I think £4m is a little steep for pottential. Must admit I'm a bit surprised we're even considering letting O'Hara go, even on loan. He's a little pitbul, in your face with a good left peg, will chip in with the occasional goal and gives us good back up in centre midfield and on the left flank. He's no Lampard but definately won't let you down, hope there's a release clause because CM is probably our weakest position. Anyway good luck with both of them
