Distin exit confirmed

Pompey have confirmed on The Pompey Site that Sylvain Distin has completed his move to Everton, where he has signed a 3-year contract for a fee 'said' to be around £5m?

Paul Hart has wished him well and says that we will miss him.

I am not so convinced that we will to be honest as I do not think his heart has been in it for a long, long time! I just wish that he had openly admitted his desire to leave over the summer, as I suspected he had always wanted, instead of waiting until the eve of the summer transfer window closing to drop this on us...

But hey ho, there you go, he has gone so we move on - there is no point having players play for us that do not want to be here so in a funny kind of way we will be better off, if that makes sense?

Moving on, will it be Mokoena, Ward or a new signing to partner Kaboul on Sunday?
wellyit
Kaboul has been by far our greatest performer at the back this season and I can see him cementing his place at the back. Not sure who will play beside him...Primus? ;)
Bowlsey
I'd like to see Ward again, give him a chance to play against quality opposition and if he's not at the level yet keep him in the reserves, nothing to lose at this stage of the season. Is it likely that we'll get Dindane and Zaki before sunday, I'd be happy with our strikeforce if we could land those 2.

Rug you just beat me to get this and presumably the signings news. Although I can find no official word yet.

His body language to me gave the impression'I am playing with idiots' so pleased he has gone. Hope all our replacements have size 13 boots.

Also I'm not to sure of signing Kevin Prince-Boateng for 4million, seems alot of money to spend on a player that hasn't really proved himself. Has anyone got any idea how much Saf has given PH to spend before tuesday?
moley2
Good Riddance moody devil. Quite what our defence will consist of against citeh I do not know.
bluedr
the worry was though, that he was a quality player. now, we have a bigger whole in our defence than we do in midfield!

Don't care Carps, I'm glad he's gone. Sheer arrogance and always blaming others for his blatant mistakes. Everton are welcome to him. Just wished they had paid more.
