Quite frankly it's insulting

Quite frankly it's insulting

After The Suncome who are claiming to have spoken to Al-Fahim

Earlier this morning we had The Sun claiming that they had spoken to Al-Fahim. Now we have telling us that Al-Fahim has had a telephone interview with them.

It this the way it is going to be for supporters and staff of PFC ?

Well Mr Al-Fahim in my humble opinion you are demonstrating that you have absolutely no understanding of the commitment or passion of the fans that live and breathe Portsmouth Football Club - The club you now own.

Would it be too much to ask for something on the official site that outlines your plans for our club - If it is official then at least we know there is no 'media` spin on it!

Reducing us to titbits of information from what in the past have been shown to be not the most reliable of sources is quite frankly insulting

For those of you that have yet to see what we have been party to the titbits are below`

He told the Sun
'I have the money and the desire to turn things around. I have a 10-year plan"

'We will be sticking with manager Paul Hart, who I believe is a good coach and a good man"

'It may be too late to do anything in this transfer window but the money will be there in January. We want to create a strong squad with new players.'

'We will be in discussion with all parties to push forward plans for a new ground.'

He told the
'Paul is a big part of this club, and of course he is staying. He did an excellent job to keep the team up last year, and I have very high regard for him,'

'I am very much behind the team and the club. I think Paul Hart is a strong manager. There has been a lot of uncertainty in recent months but he has been very focused and very professional in getting on with his job. I hope there is unity throughout the club from now onwards, as we all want the same result.

'I hope the fans will have a little patience, but of course, we will outline very soon how we move forward - the club, the team, the stadium, there is a lot to do, and we will involve everyone we can and keep everyone informed.'

Informed ! Yeah Right ! Through the press I reckon … and not even our local press at that !

If this bloke thinks he is going to get applauded on Sunday I think he has another thing coming - Wake up Mr Al-Fahim and smell the coffee

SAF s going to be a great new owner cos he gives exclusive interviews to the Super Sun the only real newspaper. long live page three. Now whos laughing they got it first AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you Chix, unless something is announced officially on friday at the latest then he won't be received with open arms. It's not necessarily just about the money for the fans, we just want to be kept informed straight from the horses mouth not through his advisers or through the bloody redtops!

Part of that report though states that he wishes the fans to be patient and he will reveal his plans for the club, the team and the stadium in the next two weeks. I think he deserves that much, after all what is another 2 weeks after waiting 3 months? Plus we have just signed our first player of the summer!

Haven't you got some fish to catch or something - I just knew you'd be around the corner waiting to pounce - Well they may have been first but I still find it preety poor that he is speaking to the press and not those involved with the club.. ie the staff and the fans
27/08/2009 14:15:00
I agree mate - He seriously has a lot of bridges to build already and things like this will just make matters worse - I've love to think that Peter Storrie is loving it .. but I bet he ain't !
27/08/2009 14:20:00
He may you fooled but I anit waiting another two weeks for information - The transfer window will be shut and he will tell us on 2nd September that he has no money -
27/08/2009 14:25:00
Is this the same commitment and passion from the fans that saw all of 6000 against hereford, was a disgraceful turnout for a prem club, lay off hart he has nothing to work with,
27/08/2009 14:30:00
Fellas don't cut off your nose to spite your face. You can bet your bottom dollar that there will be disgruntled fans just because Tommy Smith is our first signing under Al Fahim's ownership. Sit tight and wait until the business is done - we don't need another owner turning their back on the club.
27/08/2009 14:35:00
I was not complaining about Paul Hart - Have you read the article ??? - And as for the 'commitment and passion' I wrote the piece and I was at the Hereford game .. were you ?

Pompey go to Boundary Park as the visitors to Oldham today, this will be a 3pm kick-off.

Seven month consultation yields result

There was much speculation about what would happen, what the final outcome could bring and how happy - or disappointed - this was going to leave us. The new Pompey club crest is known.

Oldham - 17th March - Boundary Park

The recent form at Fratton Park has been terrible. Then again it's hardly stunning away from the South Coast, but we'll hope to put Oldham under pressure and collect a much-needed win.
