Al-Fahim speaks .. Apparently !

The Sun are claiming an exclusive first interview with Pompey's new owner !

Well According to The Sun Al-Fahim has spoken !

I'm Not sure whether to believe this or not as I can't see why he would speak exclusively to them, but they are claiming it's his first interview since the takeover

He told the Sun

'I have the money and the desire to turn things around. I have a 10-year plan"

'We will be sticking with manager Paul Hart, who I believe is a good coach and a good man"

'It may be too late to do anything in this transfer window but the money will be there in January. We want to create a strong squad with new players'

'We will be in discussion with all parties to push forward plans for a new ground.'

Make of that what you will but to me that doesn't seem to be a long interview !!

And as I said at the start of this article I can not see why he would talk to The Sun before anybody else .. But in this crazy saga anything is possible I suppose !

As long as he has a bit of money for now to bring a few players in. Thats all that will matter till January. Although if PS is taking a few days off then I can't see how any deals are going to be wrapped up?

There was talks a few days ago that Saf is due that bonus from land deals in december of about 150mil. Whether pompey see some or any of that is yet to be seen. I'm not convinced Saf has any money for players now though.

I can't see that he has.. All I can think of is that he's been quiet - for what reason and he gobbed off about this and that at Man City and got pushed aside.. The trouble here is is that he is our SOLE backer so he can say and do what he wants .. I want to see some action but fear we'll see nothing

Sick isn't the word - I'm gutted about the whole sorry mess but I also feel that this is only the end of chapter one and things are gonna get a lot more stressful .. we might be 'safe' financially (although that remains to be seen) but things are gonna get a lot more stressful yet I think

Who knows anymore, I'm even expecting the Ginger Judas to turn up in our managers dugout on sunday and in a post match interview talk about how much of a great lad crouchie is but he's a spurs player and not so not sure on that one, lol!

Man yana manyana...PS and SAF sing a simular song...its not even about the promises that make us all weary..its the feeling of being let down. I work in childrens services ( thats social services as it was once known) and if these two fellas were parents i am sure it would constitute some work emotional abuse. PH has managed to get in players without spending a penny of fee's..and has a reasonable tream, but onethat is too poor to survive, if he could have 15 to 20 Million- a small to middle amount in todays sums, we might just make it..at present its players who no one else wants it seems. Tommy Smith will be ok I think, Freddy is looking OK and Dindane i have no idea aboutas an aside we once had a manager and little blonde bomber full back who shared the name George Smith, if the chap from Watford signs i think i am right in saying we will again have Two players called Tommy SMITH. However my favourite of these type of coincidence, is Fulham having John Collins and Collins John.

You are probably right .. but I also fear that even if 'made up' it would be too far off the truth... and also they are "Quoting" him directly .. If it had said 'sources close to' or 'We have been advised that..' but to quote him directly .. makes me think it is true

Back on the subject we will now avoid any threat of Administration so takeover is worth 10 points. The future? We must wait for actions not words and the point about PS not being around will not help with the signing of players this week.

I have my own theory that Al-Fahim will sell the club very quickly .. but that theory is for later in the week once I've heard what he 'officially' has to say to us .. The longer the slience the more the I think he has only bought us to make a quick buck and will 'sell-on' to Storrie

Chix, too right about amount of time spent thinking, worrying about this whole sorry affair. Just had a week away in Lanzarote, yet I still kept texting and watching Sky Sport news waiting to find out anything. just hope that we get an official press conference from SAF (and Fridays always seem to be Pompey press launch days) in order that he can tell the fans exactly from his own lips what the hell he intends to do with our great club. As long as we are finacially secure and we stay in the prem then anything else is a bonus this season.

the thing that worrys me is how much PS is gonna be involved. If he is gutted and gonna take a few days off to think about the situation then who is dealing with the new transfers and talking to players and agents. I rekon that its to late for this window and we better look to Jan. Of course we could be in a hole by then but i think we are gonna have to except this is a position we are in. We might not like it but lets not set our expectations to high. ps Henry by monday will be ok for me:)

Yesterday the OS gave SAF as owner and chairman, today it has been changed to SG being the owner and SAF the chairman. Does anyone have any idea what is going on???

Spurs at home will certainly be a lively game, I think in light of the West Ham Millwall fiasco they should have extra police bought in for that match. Lets hope though that all talking is done on the pitch and we hammer them. And yes the advert is for real, I had to rewind it to double check that it was portsmouth he said!

chix: defoe I can forgive. When he arrived at the club, he said he joined it to be with jamies dad. so when jamies dad *****ed off to whl, defoe must have felt just as betrayed as us... I don't think we should have signed him in the first place, but i can (half) understand why his attitude fell apart.

it now seems Pini Zahavi was involved(Tribal)..i predicted this i think....I also said i had a niggling suspicion that ALF would sell us on....10 year plan...make us big...new ground...lets hope he is truthfull, as someone else said on this site..he'is the only one who has been...early on if you look at the press releases..everything has been done according to his schedule. The PLFA&PPT, and completion has all been to earlier predictions from his PR..forget the Sun and their scanle mongering lies....look ..research back...so maybe we can hope and own concerns are unfounded.

I'm afraid the by January it may be too late. If we are adrift in the relegation zone, creating a 'strong squad' may be difficult as players will not want to come to a club who are looking like main contenders for relegation, and those that will, are probably Championship players anyway. Never too late, I don't want to compare us to City but they had 24 hours and unlimited funds and they brought in Robinho and had a massive bid for Kaka rejected, we've got 5 times that amount of time, and although the amount of money may not be anywhere near what they had to spend, to say it might be too late is ridiculous.
