Al-Fahim speaks .. Apparently !

Al-Fahim speaks .. Apparently !

The Sun are claiming an exclusive first interview with Pompey's new owner !

Well According to The Sun Al-Fahim has spoken !

I'm Not sure whether to believe this or not as I can't see why he would speak exclusively to them, but they are claiming it's his first interview since the takeover

He told the Sun

'I have the money and the desire to turn things around. I have a 10-year plan"

'We will be sticking with manager Paul Hart, who I believe is a good coach and a good man"

'It may be too late to do anything in this transfer window but the money will be there in January. We want to create a strong squad with new players'

'We will be in discussion with all parties to push forward plans for a new ground.'

Make of that what you will but to me that doesn't seem to be a long interview !!

And as I said at the start of this article I can not see why he would talk to The Sun before anybody else .. But in this crazy saga anything is possible I suppose !

Play Up Pompey Whoever our owner is !

"It maybe too late to do anything this transfer window" .. I'm reading this as " I have no money yet !" .. This saga just get worse .. Think I'll go and support Scummers !

As long as he has a bit of money for now to bring a few players in. Thats all that will matter till January. Although if PS is taking a few days off then I can't see how any deals are going to be wrapped up?

I'm with you Chix, I'm sick of this now.
27/08/2009 10:42:00
What a sick joke this is turning out to be.
27/08/2009 10:42:00
Chix, I hope that was in jest ha ha, I would rather cut my arm of with a rusty spoon than support that bunch 'far to close to us' down the road.

There was talks a few days ago that Saf is due that bonus from land deals in december of about 150mil. Whether pompey see some or any of that is yet to be seen. I'm not convinced Saf has any money for players now though.

Lets not trust the sun, wait until we get our os statement. Pompey til I die, through good and bad!
27/08/2009 10:51:00
I can't see that he has.. All I can think of is that he's been quiet - for what reason and he gobbed off about this and that at Man City and got pushed aside.. The trouble here is is that he is our SOLE backer so he can say and do what he wants .. I want to see some action but fear we'll see nothing
27/08/2009 10:52:00
any news on if their will be a press confence ?? or a statement from him?? normally we have a press confence maybe friday with smith and dindane signed..

Et_Tu & Tim
Sick isn't the word - I'm gutted about the whole sorry mess but I also feel that this is only the end of chapter one and things are gonna get a lot more stressful .. we might be 'safe' financially (although that remains to be seen) but things are gonna get a lot more stressful yet I think

Nice steady opening against average enough teams

The words of PompeyFrippy, not mine. But all things considered I think he's right when you look at the opening games of Pompey's 2017-18 season.
