Now its done lets do it right!

Now its done lets do it right!

First and foremost our future has been secured - it is just a shame that his has taken so long to happen and it happened the way it did although to be fair to SAF all the way through he has said this would happen and schedules were being met.

Finally we now know that Pompey have been officially taken over, we have now been officially taken over right? I still have doubts as we know what a shambles, and often farce this process has been.

Now starts the time where we need this to be done right.

* We need to ensure that we are put onto an even playing field; we do not let ourselves get into a state anywhere near to the one we have found ourselves in over the most recent months.

We need to ensure that we are put onto a sound financial state.

* To do this we need to get the infrastructure of the club sorted out - finally giving us some structure!

This includes continued progression of the academy that we have started working on.

* For this we need the training ground sorted, not more talking about this lets finally see some serious action taken to make this happen. We also need Fratton to start being redeveloped - again no more talking about this, lets start seeing some positive moves and actions (and building) start.

We say that November 'should' be the time we start cracking on with this, so lets start cracking on!

* The club needs to start being 'more transparent' with its fans. This 'appears' to be what we are doing of late, which is good. Of course I am not suggesting that the club does exactly what we ask, but consulting us for more ideas and maybe taking more notice of the more 'realistic ones' would be ideal.

Lets ensure that the club are as open and honest with us as possible - do not let us be the last ones to know, tell us as it is and we will not believe the stuff that the papers write, most of which is rubbish anyway although we cannot always tell.

* Ticket prices need to be looked at, or at least ways of bringing more through the gates needs to be looked at. Too many are priced out of it - things like kids for a quid, or a fiver, or maybe family reduced packages mean that we not only bring back some of the older generation we can also start to look at the new generation.

If we get them interested at an early enough age, as an affordable enough prices then they will carry on throughout the years...

* Lets keep it realistic!

No running before we can walk - in time anything 'could' be possible but lets think long and hard about what we are doing before we do it. Keeping to a structure, and a budget, is something that we clearly need to do! Not doing this before is what got us into this mess to begin with!

* Oh, and players!

Without these we are a sitting duck, dead in the water, playing out time - look at it whatever way you want! We need to bring in more players or we are going down. No more talk, talk is cheap - actions speak louder than words now and we have little time left for words or actions so lets crack on.

Still probably a month too late & hope Dr SAF can do want he says. I still need some convincing that this is best deal for Pompey compared to what Ps could have done. Mr Grumpy is back in the house!!!

Signing Smith just suggests to me that we're preparing for life in the Championship.

What the hell is happening with Dindane? He should be our first signing. If we can get one good season out of Smith, i wont mind. Hart needs to step up the quality of players and Dindane is in the right direction. I know that we have been linked with Bentley and Pavlyuchenko from Tottenham and i would really welcome those 2 with open arms

I guess the Smith deal was done before the announcement of the takeover yesterday as it was all over the place last couple of days. We ain't gonna get a Ronnaldo coming in anyway, and also big players bring big wages as well and maybe thats a step too far at the moment. Need training ground sorted soon as, becasei thats where the hard work is done during the week and players will be inticed by state of the art training facilities. SAF promised he would release details of his plans once in charge....so come on then SAF lets have an official statement from YOU and not an advisor to you and LETS SEE WHAT YOU GONNA DO!!

Yup, totally agree blarmy. I don't want to hear another word from Ivoca olic 9or whatever his name is), and I don't want to see any more 2exclusives" about our club coming out of news sites based thousands of miles away!

I am led to believe the training ground is top priority to enable club to hang on to its Academy status.

Good points guys. I am still dismayed that the new owner has not come out and given us some news. Everything so far is guess work and poor media research, all because our new Owner and leader, is portraying a severe lack of leadership. If the currant bun is right, and they've had the first interview with him, that in itself is a slap in the face to Pompey fans who have had to endure the rubbish that that rag has written over previous months. I still see no evidence of his financial clout as this whole move has coincided with the Prem League money arriving in the clubs purse and a last minute rush on his behalf trying to save face (which in the Arab world is everything!) I look forward to being proved wrong, but seriously doubt this guys ability to do what is right to appease both the Fans and the Banks !! A GOOD START HOWEVER WOULD BE TO LET US KNOW WHAT THE *&$@ IS GOING ON !!!!!

We know Danny you want to stay!

In case we had forgot Hollands has reminded us of his desire to stay with Pompey! I'm not 'desperate' either way in many ways but sorting this quickly would be best for all concerned.

Three more pre-season games announced

'Glamour ties' are loved but pre-season is about fitness and form so it doesn't matter if it's Barcelona or Bognor... Then again a trip to the Nou Camp wouldn't be turned down!

Sheffield United loanee open to Pompey return

McNulty would welcome a permanent transfer to Pompey. Although the Sheffield United striker could well be part of new manager Wilder's plans, so the chances seem 50:50 at best?
