Pompey will stay up!

Pompey will stay up!

'With the current squad that Pompey have, plus a player or two, we will stay up because there are worse teams than us', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeyrug's poll are thoughts that I agree with...

We clearly need something more in the attacking end of the pitch, be that a player to play alongside Freddy P regularly in a 4-4-2 or better quality wide players that will link up with the striker and create chances in a 4-5-1.

The squad is very thin, that much is obvious, but with luck with injuries and/or suspensions we still have enough quality, and quality that 'should' be better than at least 3 other sides - bearing in mind 17th would be enough!

  • What the poll asked - Based on the current squad, with maybe 1 or 2 more, will we stay up?

  • How you voted - Yep, there are at least 3 worse than us 66%, Nope, not enough quality or depth 23%, I really do not know... 11%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

I hope you are right rug, we need to get those first points on the board but may have to wait a couple of weeks before that happens.

unfortunately all I get to see is MOTD and we didn't look like a team going down to be honest.

Very optimistic after Saturday; we need to take our chances but yes, we will stay up.

We aren't implicated in the Defoe transfer? I thought he acted as his own agent which he is allowed to do. The dispute is between Defoe and Sky Andrews; not our problem; could be a spurs problem

Those two or three additions need to be at least one regular goal scorer and two quality players; a defender and a replacement for John cantbebovered Utaka
